Race is only a surface issue, this man appears to be an undiagnosed/untreated paranoid schizophrenic.

And couldn't that be said of almost (I'm giving reasonable doubt) anyone who just arbitrarily decided to kill a couple of people for no good reason other than they are different from him?

I think it's almost humorous to hear folks with a straight face talk about "hate" crimes.  Have you ever (well maybe often) heard of someone committing murder out of love for the victim?

I have said for years that the term "Hate Crime" was idiotic and unnecessary.

It was invented by the federal government as a way to take control of cases when race was involved.

It's interesting that NO person of color has ever been charged with committing a "hate" crime even though there have been multiple incidents where race was the sole motivation behind black on white crime.

Remember the "Knockout Game"?

According to the FBI, 66% of racial bias hate crimes were anti-black. 21% were anti white. That is from over 5000 racial bias hate crimes. So it would appear about 1000 black people were charged with hate crimes against white people. That's a far cry from "NO person of color being charged". BUT I would agree with Willow. I don't think too many people commit crimes out of love.

The shooter may have been Bat Crap Crazy, but there was NO REASON that he could not have purchased a gun legally.

The ONLY way to have prevented him from buying a gun would be to make it ILLEGAL for ALL citizens to own them.

Here are some things being overlooked;

- If the shooter were connected to a group that group would receive ridicule. Why isn't the LGBT community being ridiculed?
- If the shooter were connected to a group that group would be expected to condemn the act. Why is the LGBT community being silent?
- The anti gun movement blames the individual or group not the gun. Why are they not screaming to gun control against unstable gays?
- Since flags are being banned, why isn't there a call for the gay pride flag to be banned?

I'm not picking on the LBGT community, but you all know had the roles be reversed all questioned above would be standard protocol. Interestingly the LGBT community calls for equality in all areas shouldn't they be equal when they are the instigators, or is it they only know how to play the role of  the victim? Or is the 3% exempt from scrutiny and ridicule?
