I read a few recommendations here about Procaliber.com so I decided to check em out....

- Pricing of items is very reasonable.
- Shipping is outrageous.  Put 3 items in my cart totaling slightly over 102 bucks.  Shipping is free over 100 except for large items.  I had a front tourer seat, a set of rear brake pads and a few vacuum caps.  The shipping was in excess of 38.00 bucks.  Maybe I'm not understanding large items, but a front touring seat isn't that large IMO.
-  Customer Service..... Non existent it seems.  I attempted to call at various times of the day, on various days and always during their advertised hours.  The 3 options each just gave the option to leave name, number and comments.  No way to speak to someone.  I attempted to do the online chat, since it indicated being on line and available.....but that just provided a form to leave name, email address and comments....no live chat as it seemed.  And....I did leave a voice message on Monday to confirm shipping charges but have not received a call back ....almost 3 days.

I can only imagine how someone would have to contact them to file a claim, rebut charges or attempt a return.    Sometimes cheaper isn't better.....

I was one who previously compared a number of parts prices of various sellers, and found ProCaliber to be cheapest (on every item), and posted about it... but I did not look into shipping in my comparison.

Based on the shipping issue, and my order being under $100, I used Partzilla yesterday.  Shipping was $8.95 (I did not order a seat).  I got a human to take the order and she did good.

She asked me (nicely) to complete the survey I would get in my email conformation.  I did so and gave her a firewall rating, since these people often get bonuses based on these survey results.

HDL has burned their bridges with me.

I do not take kindly to someone beating everyone on parts prices, then slipping it to them on double the shipping (or worse) at checkout.

So now it's Partzilla and Service Honda.  I may try ProCaliber again if I have a big order, but most of my orders anymore are for no more than a few odds and ends.

That's strange re. ProCaliber. I called about 8:15am their time last week and completed an order I had started online....needed to add a couple items. Total invoice was $165, free shipping, however none of the parts were as large as a seat. They're shipping it Priority 2-day delivery so should have it by Saturday. I use Service Honda for anything that totals under $100, still good prices.

Same here, my order totalled about 6-7 bucks shy of 100 and they waived the shipping charges since close enough and very small items being shipped out like brake pads all around and HOnda OEM rear shock bushings.

If you don't like their high shipping charges, go elsewhere and that is their right, but thanks for letting us know the bigger sized items are expensive to ship would look elsewhere as well.

Their prices are cheaper on most all items that I have been comparing but never priced out shipping on larger items.

I've also used them a couple times when my order qualified for free shipping. Haven't had any problems yet but thanks for the heads up, PAVALKER!

Wow....   I'm not sure what is going on.   I will try to call them again today and see if I can get a live person to ask about those shipping charges.   I  guess maybe a solo seat is considered an oversized package for them, and wanted to confirm that by talking to someone.  I did leave a message but have yet to receive a call back.  And also found it odd that their "live chat" on line option was not actually on line chat, just popped up a form for name, email address and comments.  I have yet to place that order elsewhere, but might work on doing that today.

How did you place an order?  Online or called in...and did you talk to someone?

Called the order in and talked to a live person.  He said no problems since so close to their free shipping limit and smaller items (brake pads, etc.) plus was first time customer, he had no issues waviing shipping charges.  I didn't save much in terms of price of other places, but 10-15 bucks is 10-15 bucks in my pocket.
