Yeah I think I'd have been a little more discreet. But kids these days put everything out there for the world to see.  Smiley it is a pretty cool story though.

after I posted this, I knew this story reminded me of something, then it hit me...

Jess from VA, about paying the taxes;

but I really wouldn't think they should because the safe and contents were in the house when they bought it, so they "bought" the stuff in the safe too and got a great deal.

I bet that bottle would fetch a good price on ebay

That's pretty cool, when I bought my house, all we found were piles and piles of garbage and junk!

Taxes are definitely not my area of expertise, but I don't think the IRS would go for this argument.  The IRS was never my favorite agency, but since they became an unregulated advocate/power for the Democratic Party,  they have sunk somewhat lower in my esteem.

The story is actually a hoax perpetrated by the couple:

Or, is the hoax a hoax? ? ?

I found an old old Winchester in an apartment I rented once. No real value but interesting Winchester 22 auto rifle. Previous owner had regular 22LR loaded in it that would not work.  About two months later someone knocked on the door and asked about it. What gun? Someone stupid enough to load the wrong caliber in a gun does not need it.  I traded it for a chipmunk for my boys about 10 years later. I have some old goofy Winchester center fires but the WIN22 rimfire did not make my keeper list.

How quickly society has adapted to believing that the content on the internet they wanted to believe was true was absolutely true.
