On a lighter note, has anyone ever had an experience or see an UFO. I watch many shows concerning them, use to watch, I believe it was on SyFy called ancient aliens, anyway those researchers really get pumped up on the subject. In most cases I can see holes in their research and studies, in some it makes my jaw drop.  The one thing I could never figure out, concerning UFO is why would they have navigational lights.  Makes no sense. I have had two UFO experiences in my life time, hard to debunk as space debris, I don't know what it was.  This ought to be fun.

Unidentified Flying Object.  I believe Dirty Dan was wrecked by a flying object which he failed to recover and identify.  Not thatstrange.  I have seen lots of flying things that I failed to identify.  Maybe I just didn't take the time or effort.   Wink

I've seen the Marfa light through the crowds haze of marijuana smoke once.

Google it, lots of smoke is burnt at the roadside pull-out most nights.

Speaking of flying objects and Dan, here in Mich. they repealed the helmet law, and many now ride with no helmets. I always wear a helmet, even for test drive, I recall on two riding occasions, when I seen a chunk of debris fling at me and I tilted my head down and it bounced off my helmet rather then my head.  Sorry off the subject. I know UFO's and Ancient Aliens sounds crazy, it the unexplained that interest me.  Look up the Coral Castle, its located in Homestead Florida. A 120lb man with a block and tackle and few little tools, built this castle made of coral by himself.  In fact he took it apart and moved it to Homestead, I think the door weighs 13 tons and can be moved with one figure. Look it up, what do you think.

One theory the "ancient alien" folks have does seem to make sense.  Some of them believe that ancient aliens came to earth and bred with ancient humans.  This is plausible.  How else can you explain some of the people you meet today?

Back in the late 50's I was stationed at Pease AFB in Porstmouth, NH. I belonged to a rod club at the time, kind of a nondescript bunch of gearheads with no club name, a lot of ambition and not much money and all GI's(explains the "no money"). On Hampton Beach, about a dozen miles south of Portsmouth, was a coastal radar installation situated in an old 3 story house with a dome on top. The guys running it were living/dressing in the local economy and we held a meeting there one time. As I recall, there were three scopes on the coast with at least two running 24/7. During the meeting the facility commander got called upstairs to help identify a return. Since all of us had at least a Secret clearance, a couple of us Top Secret, he felt it was OK to have us observe. That blip was coming in off the ocean while we watched, suddenly turned south parallel to the coast about 50 miles out and was moving so fast we could see it move on the sweep hand before it continued its sweep. Recall the X-15 speeds were around 4500mph and it didn't start setting records until the 60's. This thing was moving well in excess of that. The CO called a couple stations further south and it was already past them and was feared it was headed for D.C. While the CO was on the phone, the object suddenly turned skyward and disappeared. It got so quiet in that room you could hear a mouse peeing on cotton. To this day, we don't know what it was, just know there was nothing available that moved that fast at that time in history. It was a solid return, no equipment troubles....that was confirmed immediately. So....what was it? I just know all of us were asked to not talk about our experience for the next few years. In the years that followed while in the missile program at Loring AFB, I had a chance to talk to some of the bomber crews and view a couple strange things that were filmed by them. I firmly believe there's something going on and feel the gov't. Black Ops or something similar know a lot more than are letting on. I, for one, would love to find out before my time is up.  cooldude

I have another theory.  There are only so many soles to go around.  Some folks don't always get one.  Those are the folks that go around killing innocent folks that are lucky enough to have a sole.....like the guy that killed those young TV folks the other day.  Lost soles, soleless people.

My first was when I was a young kid, I don't remember the year, we were up at the lake. Well at that time I don't recall if it was satellite Stutnik or I think we had Telastar, anyways at night we kids went down to the lake and sat on the picnic table waiting to fly over. Finally it was coming slowly from the west, while sitting there I was looking all over the clear sky and noticed a dot/lighted object coming from the south. It was getting closer to the satellite and appeared to be on a collision course with the object. Somewhat above us the object met what we believed to be the satellite with a slight pause and reversed course back to the south and what we thought we the satellite was gone. We nearly crapped in our drawers and ran back to the cabins to tell our parents, but they kind of laugh at all of us. We never talk about it again.

Nothing to do with aliens I imagine but this is something my Mom talked about all of her life.

When she was a teenager her parents had left on vacation and left Mom and one of her brothers to take care of the farm. This would have been around 1940 I guess.

On a very foggy evening they headed out to the barn to take care of the animals.  As they were walking to the barn they noticed the neighbor’s house glowing from behind in the fog. The house was too far away to see in the fog until the glow started. Then, what appeared to be a ball of bright fire came over the house and began to bounce towards them through the fog. Mom and her brother never moved after they saw the ball until it bounced by them pretty closely and went on by and out of sight. There was no sound from it, no heat felt, it was only visual.

Afterwards Mom took the only vehicle into town (Pleasantville Indiana) and stayed with her sister. I don’t remember if she stayed there till their folks came home or not. She and her siblings are long gone now so there is no one to ask about it. Whatever it was, it had been seen in the area before and was seen after. It was thought at the time to be a ball of “burning swamp gas” whatever that is.

Was it something like this, this is an older video, but years later I thought I saw a reference that this was a natural anomaly of the earth.  Don't quote me on that..

Wow.  That is a fantastic experience Mr. Schmidt and thanks for sharing.  What your crew witnessed has also been witnessed on radar many times through the years.  In fact many have also been witnessed by airplane crews in conjunction with the ground radar like in the 1986 with Jap flight 1628 involving a Japanese cargo 747 over Alaska for over 45 minutes.  Ground radar at two bases had it.  The flight crew said the object was over 1 mile wide.  Quite a few of the old missile man bases were shut down for periods of time back in the 60s and 70s by UFO's often shining lights down on them.  Most famous case is Bentwaters Royal AFB in England ( a nuclear storage site ) for two days at christmas 1980.  Hundreds witnessed and deputy base commander Col. Charles Hault still speaks of it today along with others.

As for me my first experience happened while still in a crib around 2 years old in late 50s in Midland, Michigan.  Saw a grey in my room next to the wall.  It spoke to me in telepathy and freaked me out so bad I jumped out of the crib to my parents who of course would not believe me.  4 years later same thing happened to my sister who was younger by 4 years in the same room.  I have had many strange occurances that point to visitations and or abduction over the years since then but all stopped in 1997 as soon as I got a Golden Retriever that always slept in bedroom.

Fact is we are being visited from where or what is open to much speculation.  Although this may have been going on since homo sapiens arrived on this planet ( heck we may be the missing link and a hybrid ) it was after nuclear weapons that things have happened at warp speed.  75 percent of all Americans believe something is going on.

The dude with the hair, to me is more of a showman rather that a believer, he reminds me of a barker in a circus. I find holes in allot of  his assumptions based on the ones I have watched. You can turn anything in to a mystery, but if you have the hard evidence its hard to dispute. Tuff part is keeping an open mind.

At this point, did you happen to notice anything different, I know it will not last?  But no bickering, no debating, no wise ass crack, no looking for fault with ones opinion.  Members just opening up and sharing their experiences, positive discussions, sharing possible explanations and expressing there opinions. Everyone playing nice, I think that is pretty cool for an off the wall subject.

I have seen some very unexplained objects in my short 30 years. At a property I use to hunt before it was sold I use to get some wierd trail cam pictures. Use to see a being almost every time I was in the woods, just short glimps like it was teleporting to each location. The only reason I went bqck was to try to explain it to myself and video it which never happened. Have heard some crazy screams and growls while hunting. Bigfoot maybe? When I was younger I saw a horse and carrage on an old railroad bed behind my parents house, hadthe driver and 2 passengers. The funny thing is I could see through it. Then it disappeared. Only seen this once. Down the road from my parents I have seen several times a little girl dressed in a white night gown standing on a bridge. I had heardabout it but never believed until I seen it for myself. I stopped and watched her for about 3 minutes late one night. Then she was gone. My brother sees a man standing beside a light pole with a duffel bag all the time across the road from my parents. A man killed himself in the house close to there and he thinks it might be him. Wierd huh?

My second was about 7yrs ago before I retired, I worked at a test lab as a high-speed photographer, and I worked afternoons. Well some of the people were science minded and from time to time we would talk about things concerning science.  On this day, it so happen there were meteor showers that night, so after lunch we got together went outside to see them. After awhile we were checking them out, and then we seen two triangular objects shape  the  same, no lights, they were going form north to south at a smooth even speed.  They were kind of light grayish in color.  The only reason we could see them because of the light on the ground shining up and the light was kind of reflecting on the objects. Of course we mentioned it to others, but they looked at us like we were whacked.  That's it, true stories, nothing made up.  I called a friend that was a security at Selfridge AFB thinking they may have been a couple stealth fighters, but he told me there were no stealth fighters at the base at that time and if there were, they wouldn't fly without nav. lights.
