Now don't shoot the messenger, this was sent to me and I think it was cute [ also right, but, cute].

Remember what Jesus said: 'Goats on the left, sheep on the
right'
(Matthew 25:33).
Jesus also told Peter that if he wanted to catch fish
do it from the
right side of the boat.
They did and filled the boat with
fish.

John 21:6 (NIV) ... He said, "Throw your net on the right side of
the
boat and you will find some."
When they did, they were unable to haul the
net in because of the
large number of fish."

Origin of Left & Right...
I
have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the
"right"  and
Liberals are called the "left".
By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the
Bible:   Ecclesiastes 10:2
(NIV) -
"The heart of the wise inclines to the
right, but the heart of the
fool to the left."
Thus sayeth the Lord.
Amen.

It surely can't get any simpler than that.

last four letters in American..........  I Can

Remember,  November 2016
is to be set aside as rodent removal month.
Please share this Bible Lesson with
all your  friends and email
buddies to help achieve that goal .

I'm curious how people of the Christian faith feel about the Holy Book being used in such a way ? It doesn't really bother me but I'm not that religious.

I got kicked out of the catholic church, that got me to study religions, I'm not very religious.
As mentioned, I just posted what was sent to me, and, I thought it was worth sending it here.

OH, and, it was sent to me by a good liberal Italian catholic friend.

I'm a people of the Christian faith.  I find it humorous.  The quotes are accurate although somewhat taken out of context.  I'm more troubled by a politician that misquotes the scriptures to justify what Christianity does or does not stand for.

I am Christian and I like it and there is truth to this.

The study of Gods left and right hand gets interesting here are a few scriptures. There is great significance to right and left maybe not the exact way your saying but I still like it some don't understand just how much of life and understanding in our present society is from the Bible. Jews know of the significance of right and left also.

Exo_15:12  You raised Your right hand, and the earth swallowed our enemies.

Lev_14:17  The priest will then apply some of the oil in his palm over the blood from the guilt offering that is on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified.

uk_20:42  For David himself wrote in the book of Psalms: 'The LORD said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at My right hand

"And He shall set the sheep on the RIGHT HAND, but the goats on the LEFT. Then shall the King say unto them on His RIGHT HAND, Come, ye blessed of My Father...then shall He say also unto them on the LEFT HAND, Depart from Me, ye cursed!"

Rev 13:15  He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die.

Rev 13:16  He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.

Rev 13:17  And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.

Seems I recall from somewhere that the left hand is considered unclean, uh . . .  you know it's used for a certain purpose.   Embarrassed

Two tours in the Middle East, and there is no such thing as TP in public conveniences.  There is usually a water faucet low and within reaching distance of the hole in the floor.

No matter how thirsty you are....

In the tribal/communal society of the Middle East, the right hand is used to share food from the common serving bowl. The left hand is used to wipe the derriere. There are no lefties in Arabic common societies since anyone reaching into the food bowl with their left hand is instantly banned from the communal feeding. Guess which hand is removed from a convicted thief (and yes, that is the punishment still used currently in many Middle Eastern countries even if a scalpel has replaced the sword).

This could make the right and left political analogy even more toxic.  Shocked
