Whenever the word “God” is even mentioned in a public school these days, alarm bells go off and the closest ACLU lawyer is immediately dispatched, lawsuit paperwork in hand.

It has gotten downright silly in our day and age.  Liberals are proving over and over again that they are the most intolerant species on the planet.

Most recent case in point – a high school band in Mississippi was enjoined by a federal judge from performing a song with religious significance at a football half time show.

So, how did the good citizens of Brandon respond to this radical judge’s threat?

GREAT story, thanks.  I'm glad these folks stood their ground, and performed the song in defiance of the judge.  Laws of the land shouldn't intimidate people from doing what they know in their hearts is right.

I guess I'm not getting this story at all. The school band wasn't singing the Hymn they were simply playing the music to it. How can the music possibly be considered religious as it relates to the school or government.

I can see a legit argument if the story was the school was having the chorus sing nothing but religious songs at half time. Wouldn't necessarily agree with such an argument but could see it being a legit point of view. Even religion is a legitimate source of art and culture and I would give considerable latitude to such a production.

But banning the music and melody? That's insane.

Appeals court upholds Jesus statue on Montana mountain

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/religion/appeals-court-upholds-jesus-statue-on-montana-mountain/2015/08/31/314dbd76-5034-11e5-b225-90edbd49f362_story.html

HELENA, Mont. — A 6-foot tall statue of Jesus that has spent the last 60 years overlooking a northwestern Montana ski hill may stay there, a federal appeals court ruled Monday.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected arguments from a group of atheists and agnostics that allowing the statue to remain on U.S. Forest Service land violates the constitutional separation of church and state.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation plans to ask that the case be reviewed by the full court, said co-founder Annie Laurie Gaylor.

The Knights of Columbus placed the statue on U.S. Forest Service land on Big Mountain in the mid-1950s as a memorial to World War II soldiers and it remained in place with few complaints for decades.

If you would like to see who is co-founder of the freedom from religion foundation Annie Laurie Gaylor then watch this video. This is the organization that has been on the forefront of bringing all the suits to stop any kind of religious symbol including the ten commandments.  To me personally she makes me sick and I find her highly disturbing.

Seems that recently the liberals idea of tolerance encompasses all religions with the exception of Christianity.

Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Atheism even Satan worship is to be not only tolerated but embraced. It would indeed be nice if the Christians were treated with the same attitude.

Even some school lunch programs are having the pork removed so no Muslims will be offended. This would be under the guise of preventing obesity within the Muslim community.

Political correctness and lack of a moral spine is killing our country. It will be very sad when our once great USA finally goes belly up.
