Both sitting on my transport trailer right now. Very Sweet Vehicles. The trailer is parked near my Valkyrie so, it's kind of Valk related. I transport stuff for folks all the time as a side line but, I rarely get to transport cars like this. I'd post pics of them but unfortunately, I've never figured out how. Transporting both to South Florida this week. Can't stop any where without someone whipping out a cell phone camera and taking pics. Kind of like riding a fat lady.

Sent them to you. Will take a few more tomorrow, it's dark out there and I'm not allowed outside after dusk.

I'll take the 39 Ford.
I'm assuming it has late model running gear.

Haven't looked, I hate to temp fate and start doing more that just looking from the outside in. I always take pics of anything I transport so, I don't get accused of damaging something. Might raise the hood tomorrow if anyone is interested.

The gent that owns these cars had a rather large collection of Vettes. Just about every year but, he auctioned most of them off because he's retiring. He had a 67 Vette, 427 ci, 4 speed convertible that I would have traded my spousal unit for but, he would have wanted boot and I didn't have it to give. She has more mileage. It went to the auto auction.

They look like really great cars. I have a thing for 39s and first generation Vettes.

Pretty sure for the right money, the owner would change the delivery address. Be prepared to reach deep into that pocket though.

I more interested in knowing if the Vette is a six banger or V8. If it's a 235 six cylinder, you better get it inside.

It went to the auto auction. I had one of them and sold it for $2000.00 if you can believe it. Of course back then they wasn't worth what they are today. Who knew what a great investment these things could be. I bought mine used but like new for $2500.00, and had a pick of a dozen for the same price, even a split window coupe.

I haven't popped the hood and most likely won't but looking at it from underneath, it's a V8. Honestly, neither car is something I would pay the money he's asking for them. Though they are special (even to me), they are really just another transport.

I didn't know how special it was at the time, have since discovered only 7 were made with the six banger in '55. This one had a front plate that read "Wow, I could have had a V8!"

I finally read this post...Great pics, Instead of going south why don't you head north and I will meet you with another trailer. I can lighten your load to Florida by one vehicle, and it is red. Yo will save gas that way.

Both are great looking cars. However, like RJ, if the Ford has the buggy spring suspension and the flat head 85 horse V8, I wouldn't touch it, even if I had the money. Ive had old Fords and they weren't the best of all the old cars that I drove by necessity.
On the other hand, the Corvette.................

I really can't say what the suspension was, I simply wasn't looking at it enough to say. I remember is was unique to what I'm used to seeing. Sorry, I was looking for tie down spots and laying on a hot trailer bed. I will say this, it was easy to secure compared to that 55 Vette, Not a lot of good places to secure it from. In fact, because of that Vette, I've ordered a whole new set of straps. I have always preferred to secure my loads so that they can not only take advantage of my trailer's suspension but, also use their own, versus hooking onto the frame/chassis and securing by compressing the vehicle's suspension. I've seen some transporters that really squat/compress a vehicle's suspension, I wouldn't want my vehicle's suspension treated like that so, I don't do it to others.
