2000 F6C 18K With Cobra Pipe: I hope It Was Re-Jetted - Can I Tell?

So,

I am picking up my bike tomorrow.  I test rode it and it seemed OooKaaaY, but I am wondering if the previous owner who installed the Cobra 6x6s re-jetted with the installation. Can one tell one way or the other without pulling the carbs? will it back fire if it has not been re-jetted, the headers are discolored is this an indication it was not re-jetted and is running lean and hot? Any tips out there.

Other than this the bike appears to be a cream puff.

It doesn't need to be rejetted,also I have never seen a set of Cobra pipes that haven't turned as they do not have heat shields.

Well I think there might have been heat shields for them at one time (I could be wrong), but the headers are single wall (unlike the OEs) and they all blue.  Some have painted them with high heat flat black, some have ceramic coated.  Most live with it.

My understanding is they don't require rejetting, but lose the bike 7-10 horses without it (not that you'll notice).  

I remember wanting my first bike's head pipes to blue, so I looked like an experienced rider (at 17, yeah right).

There's a decent size TX VRCC Chapter with some experienced folks, you might introduce yourself and join some rides and wrench parties.

the so called re-jetting kit never replaced jets. it is new adjustable needles.
pull the top of a carb, non-adjustable are OEM. adjustable, most likely the kit.
unless the airbox is opened up/modded OEM MJs don't need to be changed out.

  I got what I need let's close this one unless someone has a revelation. Thanks you all have been realy helpful.  I will give up 7-10 horse power it my engine runs cooler..... I am not riding over 85...... at least not much......

Regardless, trying to recover the lost horsepower from employing those exhaust systems is

an expensive deal and one that a simple change out of jets will not accomplish.
