Pretty much why I no longer subscribe to or read print yellow sheets.....errr....print journalism. Objectivity is no longer a concern to editorial boards, while pandering to a political agenda is. Good luck finding Walter Cronkite on any TV news channel.

I quit watching lame stream national media around 1980 when it became evident instead of just reporting real news like Cronkright, Huntley and Brinkley did, it became leftist driven propoganda. What was more evident is not what they showcase, but when it does not fit their agenda, what they do not showcase. Thank god when Talk Radio appeared in force a few years later.

Sadly, it has become difficult to get unbiased news from any source. In years gone by if I wanted opinion I would read the editorial page. Now the front page is an editorial page. That is not to say there hasn't always been some bias in journalism, but at least it wasn't screaming from the headlines. |
