As most of you know I broke my left ring finger on May 13th. Spent over a month in a cast and splint. Missed riding to Inzane because of it but still made it,in a car. Had a great time. Spent the last two months or so doing therapy to get it back to use. I was unable to make a fist at all. Most of the time after therapy I could almost close it but not quite. My grip strength has gone from about 40 pounds to 91 as of yesterday. Still not the 130+ my right hand can do but close enough. Still can't close my hand all the way but we are thinking that if I continue to work on it, it will get better.
With that said I have not ridden since May 13th. Since the doc has released me I took a ride this afternoon. Put in just 54 miles but it felt good to be back in the wind......

The clutch is therapy.
Let it out, ease your mind. Use it often and your piece of mind and strength will come back.

Mark do like I did several years back when I broke my hand.

I carried a little rubber ball that I squeezed almost continuously.

I still squeeze a ball sometimes even today.     You do have to remember to change hands periodically.

Glad to hear you got some air in your eyes.   Did Twila go with ya?

Glad to hear you're back in the wind. It truly is the best therapy---at least for the soul!

I quit squeezing the ball when I retired.

Also quit going to the gym at the same time.

My muscles have also sure got sloppy in that time frame.

I've lost  over 1/2 of my arm size since I retired also.

Also put on about 40# of flab.

Shore was good to retire however.  LOL.
