rode up to Ogunquit on the Valkyrie to meet Bonnie on Sunday
nice ride up once past Danbury traffic, and we had warm weather with bright sun all the time

Got a great deal on a suite at the Admiral Inn  and spent that day and the next walking the Marginal Way along the water and swimming in really cold water and watching Bonnie eat large amounts of LOBSTAH

Maine sure does have some rocky coastline

Her phone says we walked over 10 miles before we left Monday morning after breakfast

4 hours and 7 minutes to Ossining including stop for gas over the Mass line on 84

No speed appreciation awards but it was close a time or 2   police laugh angel

She has the secretary audition pics on her camera as she is the best photographer but here is one of a happy wife eating Lobstah at Barnacle Bill's  on the waterfront

Aw, she makes me jealous of the Lobster.

I want some.

Years ago, when I learned how to get the meat out, I loved Lobster.

Being a Native Iowan, Lobster was not on the menu.

Got into it when I was in the Marines and pulling duty in Mass ass a chew sits.

Never did figure out how and why I was stuck up there.

Oss, I'll be ridding up to Boston for a conversation, at the end of September. Then a group of 10 of us will ride a day up the Maine coast. Staying at the Cliff House in Ogunquint. The next day back to Boston, then home to NJ. The end of September is prime time for Fall colors in Maine.

One of my missing states on two wheels. Lovely country up theah, I just wish there was a way to get there that did not include urban sprawl. I would not mind visiting the Catskills again if I ever decide to head in that direction.

On my 2 trips up there with my 2 youngest ones on the motor, we had very good trips, mostly, LOL.

When the daughter & I went, it was a madhouse.      Going over a bridge into Detroit, the under carriage broke on the trailer and let the right side of the trailer drop onto the tire and smoke things up real good.

One of Detroit’s finest rolled up behind us with red and blues just a spinnin.   He stayed behind us and told us on the PA to really slow down and proceed on over the bridge.

When we got off the bridge, we found a small piece of 2X4 and propped the trailer bed up.    He then escorted us to a welder.    Turned out the welder was his father-in-law.

He looked the situation over, said empty the trailer so we can turn it upside down.    Daughter was scared and almost crying.  Trailer is broke, I won’t get to see mommy again.   I think she was like maybe 9 years old.   His wife came out and talked to Valarie.    She got chilled out and his wife and the daughter had some good discussions on the motorcycle and traveling.    The gentleman welded a bunch of braces into it and then checked to make sure it would hold.   I’ll say one thing it was a hell of a lot better constructed than from the factory.    Before it would want to wobble at about 60 MPH on up.   There wasn’t any wobble in it after this weld job.  The guy worked on the trailer for 3 hours and was welding all the time.     He saw my LEO badge on the windshield and would not accept any $$$$ for all of his work.     When he wasn’t looking I stuck $100.00 in a drawer on his table.     We were up in that area for about 2 weeks and 90% of the days  it rained, but it was enjoyable..

When the son and I were up there, it only rained on us 2 days out of 16 days.

It sure is beautiful country up there.    I’d like to go up again during changing of the leaves,  that would have to be the greatest picture to take.

Last I knew the guy who bought the trailer is still using it.

Actually, if you looked at a lobster, you'd never think of eating anything like that.
If you realized its the cockroach of the seas, you'd never think of eating anything like that.
Its just another way to eat butter.
