We just got home about 20 minutes ago, 10 hour ride to the house. The weather was perfect and the BRP was almost deserted for most of the morning so it was smooth riding.
We hope that all who are still traveling arrive safe at their destination.
We send all our best for our friends, Bill, Trish, Dennis and Sheila who unfortunately did not have a good ride, heal fast and take good care. We hope to see you all soon.

Glad you're in safe. We put in about 90 miles on the BRP today ourselves & the only place traffic was bad was around Boone. Moses H. Cone & Julian Price were popular destinations today (packed)!

Joe, I hate to hear the words "If" , I know right now things seem a bit rough however don't let another good ride dissappear from the VRCC again. We have lost a lot of great rides due to many things, but we all know when we ride we are taking a chance and unfortunately this time we had lady luck looking the wrong way, the good thing is that all are ok and will recover to hopefully ride again. The Meet in the Middle ride is one of the shortest get togethers we have but normally one of those most memorable times we have, I would hate to see an incident like this end another good ride. I would like to think that the folks who were involved would agree. |

You make a good point I miss riding down to Florida to Dragons On The Beach , I miss riding down to Alabama for The Cheaha Mountain Rally.... The whole meeting up of the Southern group (at the Holiday motel ) in Maggie Valley sounds GRRREAT! -Mike Only problem with Maggie is a lot of the motels will not rent a room for one night on a holiday weekend when they have folks coming in that want the whole weekend. |
