There are things I would do for fun, this is not one of them.

I discovered while in my teens that, I'm allergic  to pain.   So, I think I'll stick with two wheels and brakes.  Wink

Any one old enough to remember the steel wheels on the skate boards?
We rode our bicycles to San Pedro, 35 miles,  and rode down the hills there.
We were really haulin and having a good time, The cop said we were doing about 25 mph.
Bad move.
We rode our bicycles back with fused steel wheels and tattered clothes because the steel wheels got hot enough to weld themselves.
Lube failure, bearing failure, good sense failure, learning success.
Please note funny tagline below.....

I don't know about today's techy BONES swiss bearings and high tech wheels they have on fancy 100 plus dollar skateboards, actually called longboards,  today.  They can take a beating at high speeds.  My kid has 2 longboards and I have rode them a few times and even I could do am sure 25 mph on those no problems even today.  Not much over that though since my excess weight wobbles the board too much at high speeds having to tighten the trucks more down so less vibration at higher speeds.

I use to fly as a teen on my old 10 dollar very firm (built for speed) skateboard down our steep hill at home on that old thing doing for sure 20 mph with no protection on.  The bearings and wheels though back in the late 70's did get somewhat hot though to the touch.

but, 70 mph is just plain crazy one wipeout even with protection and your going to hospital for sure.
