I have seen the write up before on shop talk. It has been there a while and those are not available. Also not sure how to get the part he had made for the water temp. Just wanted to know what people used, how they looked, what parts are needed and such. Thanks for any help or info.

My sons, Mad6Gun and Psychotic Bovine have both installed gauges on their Valks. However, they don't frequent this board much.  I'll give them a call to see if they'll reply.   I do believe that the means to do it aren't easily available anymore.

Don't have pictures as I am not smart enough to put them on the web. I installed Motosens gauges on my 2000 IS in 2011, cost me 453.40 back then, not sure if they sell them anymore. Motosens were the talk of the town then and were supposed to kinda match up to the Valkyrie. You could order different face and needle color etc. with all the senders needed for the Valk. I have the pod type coolant, voltage and oil pressure mounted on the top of the faring just behind the windscreen, made a custom (bent metal) gauge bezel complete with green lights that light up when the cooling fan runs.

They work good and I can keep track of whats going on under me. The only thing I don't like is they can fog up some with early morning south Texas humid air, and the gauge lights are not very bright. But they are reassuring out in the middle of nowhere, where you always hear some different noise.

Yes, many have done so. This is an old picture but still have the gauges. Left is coolant temp, right is oil pressure, center is a gas gauge for my I/S tank. All Autometer C-2 gauges. Not cheap!

I mounted the same Motosens as firefighter.    I really like them and think they look great.   Was told Motosen went out of business but was later told they were back in business but may not be offering all the same gauges.    Kind of expensive but, a quality product.

I installed an Autometer temperature gauge. The thermostat housing has an unused boss that I drilled and tapped to accept the Autometer sender.

This is the first pic I could find that gives you an idea from the riders perspective.  I'm pretty sure I don't have any from the installation, and I'm not sure I have any post-install from the front or side or with the fairing off.  But, they do look oem.

When I did my install, I found a very nice write-up online.  I'm sorry I didn't copy and save it to my computer.  I believe this is the one, but it appears the domain has expired.  http://thehondavalkyriepages2.blogspot.com/2014/09/motosens-guages-for-honda-valkyrie.html

Lots more pictures here at the Motosens gallery.
