Flag mount?

Picking up my bike tomorrow and thought about the national significance of the day. With that in mind I'm interested in a flag mount somewhere on the back end of the bike. Don't have the luggage rack or sissy bar installed yet, but if I need to wait until I do that's okay because those are on the list of future installs.

Looked around the interwebs and found several premade for like $50. That was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I found what looks like a fairly easy DIY solution. In case others are wanting to do the same.
