Well I got suspended for a week, in the corner with a time out, with no treat!!!  I guess I have an apology for Willow, I thought he was a she, OK! In my defense, I thought the name Willow was kind of famine, so I assumed it was a lady I was speaking at.  Oops!!  Sorry about that!!  I am not sure what you were talking about bashing, not clear to me.  Also the term “dig or digging” it is not slang to like someone. I am speaking in terms of cheap shots to someone, to somewhat antagonize one; to target and bring up one faults, you get the idea. I am not ashamed for being suspended, I am not here to start trouble, but also I am not a Wimp never have been, never will be.  I still believe in free speech, not Politically Correctness. I am sure the people, feel that was the right thing to do, and I respect that!!

Just so we all understand the suspension was not for dreamaker's mistaking me for a woman but because of the response to a correction by a moderator by showing disrespect and expressing that he will say what he wants to.

Dreamaker, if "I'm not a Wimp" means that you will disrespect the rules and do what you want to do disregarding the moderators then the suspension was only a slight hint.  I'm not inclined to take crap from anyone.  If that's a problem we'll just part ways and I'll be staying here for a while.

Willow,
Again, I apologize to you for the mistaking identity.  First, my statement “I am not a Wimp” is very simple, if someone pushes me, it is a very good chance I will push back, and beyond that I can’t predict the outcome.  You speaking of disrespect, again I do not subscribe to politically correctness; I try and live in the real world, and I have been taught that respect must go in both directions to work. I am a very simple honest person, I am not even smart, but I am a creative and do pay attention to details in front of me.  I learned a long time ago, if you want an answer to anything, you must ask the question, maybe people take offence, I don’t know.  Do I feel I can just do what I want, NO, not at all, like I said respect goes in two directions?  Understand, there are people on this board afraid to ask questions for fear of being cut to shreds.  Keep in mind we are on the same team!!

Willow,
Again, I apologize to you for the mistaking identity.

Dreamaker, thank you for the apology.  I will tell you I don't need it.  I'm seldom mistaken for a woman when I'm naked.  I have hair on my chest and there's something hanging where my vagina should be.  Once more, mistaking me for a woman (I appreciate the compliment) was not the point of the suspension.

This was in your post:
... A rational person can't live in a fantasy world, that is what women do, got to work on reality of things. ...

By my evaluation that was a slam on women in general.  That is prohibited by the rules of the board.  Perhaps I would have done better to just delete your post.  In response to my providing you with what was wrong with your post you told me I needed to get out of your face.  Were we simply two guys on the street that may be acceptable but we were not.  I simply, as a moderator, will not put up with anyone after correction telling me to "get out of my face".

There are lots of folks who believe as you have stated, that respect has to go both ways.  I don't agree with that.  My example would be try that the next time a traffic officer pulls you over and treats you with less respect than you would like.  I spent twelve years in the United States Marine Corps.  I learned early on that the expected response to any of my ranking superiors was not to be dictated by how well I thought he or she respected me.

I will agree that in social relationships the best results are achieved when respect has been earned and goes both ways.

As to my "digging" you, I have this I will express.  I have on multiple occasions pointed out the stupidity of something you have posted.  I have been very careful not to call you names or attack your personal character.  You don't impress me but you're in good standing with a large crowd.  Perhaps it was just getting off on the wrong foot with a lack of explanation of what your username really means and why it only has one m.   Wink  On my part I will work harder at not hurting your feelings.

I am not, nor do I expect anyone else to be, politically correct.  I do have a strong sense of what I believe is right and what I believe is wrong.  That will come to the top pretty regularly.  I do have a sense of what the rules do and don't allow on the message board.  I take seriously the responsibility to enforce those rules.  Honestly, I wish the rules were a little more strict.

I have some unpopular opinions about the differences between men and women in general.  I do, however, like women a lot.  I like them individually and I like in general what they are and who they tend to be.  I do not take very kindly anyone's demeaning women in general.  I also don't like when people don't seem to know the difference between woman and women.

Maybe we can both work on this, dreamaker.  You work on trying to not piss me off and I'll put more effort into being a little less sensitive.  That's a challenge for me because you know how sensitive we girls can be.  Whether we ever learn to like one another is still uncertain and may even be unrealistic, but with just a little effort on both our parts we may be able to aim at Rodney King's admonition.

I was wondering how long a suspension could be. Not lobbing arrows at DM but I understand the source in which Willow based the suspension on and agree with the VRCC rule in the matter.

Willow,
I get the feeling, much of the attention is on women subject, let me clarify something.  I love women very very much, and respect them on the most part. All my life my Mother pounded in to my head to respect women. Her words were “I don’t care if a woman makes her living on her feet or one her back, but you must respect her, till she gives you reason not to, even then, you will respect her”.  Although I will say I don’t put up with their crap, and I don’t trust them, I have never hit a woman, and I have never cheated on one ever.  Like I said, I know more about women than the average man, one reason is I think with the big head, not the little one, and I choose to take the time to study and try and understand them.  The remark concerning fantasy, I can expand on it if you want.  Just because I don’t agree with certain things about women, don’t mean I feel any lesser of them.
Far as respect, my Father taught me, no matter how rude a police officer is to me, never lash out or disrespects him; Lord knows how much interaction I have had with them. In my 67 years I never lost my cool and have never had an issue with them. Far as respect and military is concerned, it was there, you just have to recognize it.  If your ranking superiors didn’t respect you, you would not be here today, the respect comes in discipline, and training and they taught you how to survive.

First, let me say factually, I know everything that men understand about women.    This amounts to very little useful information though.   Hell, I usually don't even know I'm in trouble until I'm told about it.   Huh?  Who Me?

In reference to Willow's anatomy, way more Information than I really needed or wanted to know.   Shocked

Dreamaker, let's just not frustrate each other anymore.

I gave you an example of why what you claimed to be taught was inaccurate.  You responded by talking about how you or I behave in those example situations.  I tried to tell you what you said about women is inappropriate on this message board and you respond by telling me how you feel about women.  It doesn't matter on this board how you feel but what you say matters very much.  What I get over and over is an overwhelming response within me that screams, "He just doesn't get it!"

Let me make it easier for us.  In the future I will just delete any of your posts that violate the Rules of the Road.  If you do it again I'll let you know.  ON your part what I need you to do is just respond with, "Okay.  I won't do that again."  I'll not concern myself with whether or not it makes sense to you and please don't concern yourself with what may or may not make sense to me.

I am really, really done.

Oh, and for anyone who does comprehend with what I am dealing I want full credit that I said that without anything that could even most remotely be interpreted as a personal attack.

Understands women huh?   hmmm... Reminds me of the Genie who granted a wish and the guy says "I like Hawaii and I hate flying... I want you to build a bridge from California to Hawaii so I can go as often as I want".  The Genie says that the wish is too unrealistic so pick another wish... The guy says "I want to understand women"  and the Genie says "two lanes or four???" Cheesy cooldude Grin

Political Correctness run amok.  Of course it was a slam on women in general.  [And yes, I realize the suspension was for subsequent comments, not the original comment on women.]

I believe that Tom and Ray Magliozzi once commented that it is easier for a woman to make a decision as the decision is unencumbered by the thought process.

A respected member of this forum has often commented that "All men marry up."  That is clearly a slam on men in general.

You thought Willow was a female?   2funny

Wow, someone has got some talent.   That's a great likeness!

Though he has a much gentler look with  a smile.

Didn't know he wore an ear ring though.    That must be coming from his soft side.   Wink

I'd give almost anything to have my suspension lifted...

Well I did a 57 once that was dragging pretty low. I got it back up to a pretty mean stance.

How bad are we talking Karen? Air shock low or station wagon springs? And for you, free of charge.

Gravity combined with age is not a good combination no matter what chassis that you have. Smiley
