Are any of you using the Garmin Zumo 390?

If so, likes dis-likes...........

Also if I went with the 665, can I link to the satellite antenna that I already have mounted inside the Woody's fairing to the gps? also already have satellite subscription.

Thoughts please.............................

I can't help on the 390, I have an older 450 I've had since new, but this forum may provide some help and thoughts too;

The 665 comes with a XM antenna.  The 660 is the same unit sans the antenna. XM/Sirius supports shifting the subscription to a different receiver/antenna.  The 665 comes with a loom that has a plug for the antenna.  Don't know if they have standardized on the connectivity.  It looks like a mini-USB but don't know if it's the same.  BTW the 665 has Doppler radar.  VERY handy, I've used it many times to avoid cloud bursts.  Or suit up right before hitting them if unavoidable - like the recent ride to Spearfish, with few roads to choose, some closed due to bridges out - stopped right before the rain and suited up.

I have a zumo  550 with XM and doppler radar and love it. Had it for 6 years now and it still does the job.

The 665 has a specific antenna and you can't use your old one. If you switch mounts with the 665, the antenna has to go with it to avoid a "transfer fee" from Sirius ($15).

BTW you might occasionally get connection failures to the satellite service.  Look first at the little gold pins on the mount.  They are on springs and sometimes stay retracted and don't connect.  Garmin TS didn't know about it and sent me a new mount under warranty when I proved it was the mount.  Then I found the problem with the pins.  Pulled them out with tiny pliars then lubed the pins with Radio Shack contact cleaner.

Thanks for the heads up!
