Only thing stupider than shooting the truck is posting the evidence.  Grin

Returning to 101 physics, we understand that optics (irons or scope or whatever) mounted above the bore, are not entirely accurate for at least a certain amount of distance, depending.

Would have been funnier with a .458 Win Mag.

Aside from the stupidity of the shooter, the one thing that caught my ear was his limited vocabulary. That was as useless as his ability to shoot a rifle.  ???

We use to shoot target practice in a pit growing up on my dad's old 1976 and then his 1986 chevy caprice classic hood or trunk of his car,

Never once took out the hood/trunk like that, but we were at least smart enough to raise the elevation of the front/back of the gun with sandbags/boat cushions for more height and more accuracy sighting in our rifles.

The sheet metal though of the car did show some powder residue when done after 20-30 rounds involving 3 guns.

We eventually bought pickup trucks and used the tailgate down method after that with the front of the barrel extended past the side of the truck.

How many were standing with him ?  Not one noticed anything astray. But, he is not the first to do something like that, probably won't be the last.
