What do you expect to see??  I see my military retirement check is direct deposited....each month and I'm thankful for it.  I see we get recognition for Veterans Day....and appreciate it,  and even Memorial Day although I'm still 6' this side of the earths crust.  I usually get recognized with a military discount when I remember to mention it at those places that give one.....and frequently with "thank you for your service" when wearing a Navy Vet hat or shirt or the like.   What are you wanting to see?

BTW "thank you for your service"....  From one Vet to another.

USAF Dec'71-Jan.'76. 43151C-Aircraft Mechanic, jets 1&2 engines. F-4D's. E-4(Sgt), although in today's AF I think they call you a Senior Airman as an E-4.

Thank y'all for your service.

1958-1981, US Army.  Retired as  a W-3, and figured I needed to work for about a year just to clear up some debits so I could live a little better on my pay. Went to work flying for PHI, and ended up actually retiring 20 years later.  Funny, when I joined the military originally, I figured that if I could stick it out and retire with 500 bux a month I could live good back it those East Texas woods.  Things were a lot cheaper back then.

Thanks friend, Its appreciated. I think the Royal Marines have done there bit from time to time !! I did 22 years and have been retired for 12 years. This is the best bit, I was born the year you signed on the line. So if your still riding it gives me hope that there are many years of enjoying my IS still to come.

All the very best to serving and ex alike

Raider... I was a Fleet Marine Force doc for 12 years out of the 20 I put in the Navy. I would transfer back to the Marines every time I got a chance. I was more of a grunt than squid.....love the Marines.  Sounds strange coming from a squid, huh? But the Marines loved their docs and mostly vice versa.

University of Science Music and Culture 82-86. 6333 (electrician) cross trained as a AO in my spare time. Perfect timing to be the beneficiary of the tail end of Carters non GI bill (VEAP), and the beginning of Graham Rudman. Meritorious out of boot, E-3 time in grade, up for meritorious 5 times, never in any real trouble with good PFT and evals. No slots available and was told I couldnt switch MOS because there were not enough EA6B electricians (ahh, govt cutbacks at work). Applied to and was accepted at PSU 6 months before the end of the hitch, the interview with the career destroyer 60 days prior to getting out was monosyllabic, and got out a E-3.

Loved it, glad I did it, best thing I ever did. I would have stayed in if I had been looking at E-5.
