Funny you mentioned it as Bonnie and I have tickets and are riding up in the morning

We have about 160 garlic bulbs or cloves ( I forget which is the big thing and which is the part of the big thing) hanging and drying right now.

You can't have enough garlic
it keeps the vampires and walking dead  (you know...democrats )  away from our home.

Just teasing I is still a registered one of those D things

You have my cell ring me  We will probably take the 87 up from Newburgh unless you have a better idea   Need to be home before dark as I just cant see at night on the bike

That is the Plattikill rest stop Mile post 65. We usually meet on the north side of the building. I have to confirm the time with my social director

I read this last night and it's been on my mind all day. I just got in a little bit ago.

im going to map this out and see if I can get a good lock on time to get there.

question, anyone know what the Pope is doing tomorrow? any news of road closures?

if I can get there, I'll be coming up the Garden State PKy the NY Thruway.

my cell is Nine one 4 522 0083

We are planning on being out of here by 930 as we have dinner plans back here in Ossining tomorrow night and I would like to not be rushed to get home.

Its around 90 minutes from here to there, plus there is a trolly to take you to the fairgrounds that I have not used before as Ive never been there for the festival. I may have my vrcc vest on but you have seen my pic before.

Text me if you are coming up as we will be passing that rest area / gas station on 87 by 1030am

I am on the right  Gman on the left

put this in a new thread

Bonnie and I just returned from our first visit to the garlic festival and we will return again another year  Partly sunny in the am, bright sun while there about 72 degrees could not ask for better weather

Nice ride up doing 75-80 with the traffic such as it was but once we got off the thruway it was stop and stop and sit and fred flintstone a car lenth over and over  The temp light went on for the 1st time in
my memory as we were just finally in view of parking lot and I left the line and rode the bike right to the lot with my flashers on.  Simply told the officers my temp lite was on and I needed to stop pronto and they let me around    police angel police

On the way back no problem with traffic stopped on 9 for that texas bbq

We bought several pounds of different garlic for planting and eating, tasted a LOT of great raw garlic, sampled an awesome maple syrup aged in bourbon casks (Hotglue I am gonna put some of your bourbon in a pint of pure maple syrup later just because it was that good), butternut squash seed oils, brittle and fudge an organic trail mix with sunflower/nuts and it was really good garlic of course, and generally had a great timewalking the fairgrounds for over 3 hours

free music at several places, a kids play that was funny  giant walking garlic....

Did see a Polaris Slingshot in the lot and got a pic on my phone

Will post pics later  as I KNOW THIS thread is useless w.o pics but most are on Bonnies camera and cursed if I know how to transfer pics on that !

Bonzo, Gman and Mike ya missed a large time
