Maybe everyone already knows this, but looking at the Honda motorcycle website, looks like 2015 will be the final year for the F6C Valkyrie? All of the other Honda models show 2015/2016 when clicked, but our Valkyie shows 2014/2015 (ouch!). Or maybe Honda is taking a model year off and coming back with the F6C in 2017?
If 2015 is the last year Honda sure pulled the plug quickly on a great, great bike.

Could be true... selling them for $11,000 = "you can't give them away"...

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that when they came out with the new Valkyrie it wasn't really what the masses wanted. They could have easily done an upgraded version of the original Valk but chose not to. Why....only the bean counters know. If Honda had given us an updated version of the early Valk, I would have been first in line. But after a trial ride, I'm not interested in the new Valk...at any price. Again, that's just my feelings.

Yes Honda! Bring back the glory with an 1800 FI retro. This time make a Black Tourer with cream accent.  Drool!

On one hand it would be great and I would probably jump at it as well, but on the other hand a little bit of the "mystique" of our originals would surely be lost.

Sales drive the industry, if the new Valkyrie had sold in large numbers, they would still be being built and sold and not at $10 to $12K.    I have no doubt they are a better performing and better handling machine but, they lack the style the general riding/buying public wants.   I'm not knocking the new Valkyrie for those that bought them, if that's what turns your crank, good for you.    It's just not something I want to ride or, in my garage.    Offer me what I want, I'll be talking to my banker about a loan.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that if they had come out with an "old school" styled Valkyrie with updated engine, fuel injection, modern frame, ect.............,   There would be a lot of older Valkyries for sale.

Just think of the conundrum that would put us 1800c riders in!!!!!  Or at least the ones that had 1500s.

Honda seriously missed the mark with the new valk.  They took the easy path and just stripped down a goldwing and presented as something new and wonderful.  It wasn't.

Honda needs to get out of the design studio and actually see what their customers actually want.

It's as if they have a bunch of monkeys throwing darts at the wall trying to come up with new ideas that simply don't sell.

Even though I'm not in the market any more, I think that Honda missed the boat too.

If Joe had been still around or someone like him, the Valkyrie would been an updated 'clean slate' ride with very little tupperwear, the 1800 fuel injected engine, cruise control, better brakes and suspension, and that's it.  Let the owners do their 'custom' thing.

Todays Valkyrie kinda reminds me of the same thinking that created the Rune and it didn't sell either.

Yes it's a log truck but I love her

I think some people's log trucks must have something wrong with them,
when I hop off Chewie and on to the Log Truck, all I can think of is
how awesome the Log Truck is...

Hmmm.  Seems like OUR Valkyrie was born from the Goldwing's 1500 engine.  Honda was gearing up for the Wing's 1800 and used Valkyrie to get rid of their 'left-overs'.

Wonder if Honda is getting ready to up the ante on their Goldwing to 2000 or greater in the very near future??

What if they are not stopping making it but letting the excess be sold? The model has not changed since it came out in fact that is the reason I didn't buy the 15 it was the same bike at 2k more. I know they are not flying off the showroom floors either but they did come out with a completely redesigned bike and the only real difference between 14 and 15 was color. So what would they do for 16? Change the color again, I don't think so. I have had so many compliments on my bike and some said they may buy one that I would think its a market share thing or educating people on the bike. If they stop making it all the better I will have a one off bike that someday will be a collectors item. I love my 14 and if I didn't do so many upgrades to my original Valk would probably have sold it. I just don't seem to use my 01 Valk that much and its now more like a piece of art rather than a motorcycle to me.

What a lot of us are missing is that the classic Valkyrie was not an overwhelming selling success for Honda.  We love the Valkyrie but we are a small subset of the motorcycle world.  Years after the classic Valkyrie was discontinued one could still find a new Valkyrie in the crate at many dealers.

I don't see the two Goldwing models as an attempt by Honda to revive the Valkyrie line.  Honestly, the Honda number crunchers likely view the Valkyrie as a failed experiment.  The two new models were developed to attract buyer who may be interested in the Goldwing but not so much in the fully blown touring model to which Honda has already experienced much success.

Yes, if Joe Boyd were still alive and working for Honda it would have been a different story.

Mine was one of the leftovers I bought it in 03 but my bike is an 01 sitting on the showroom floor and even had a Cobra exhaust that they put on in an effort to sell it.
