One would have to discuss this with the "board".

I'd love to see a Kentucky Chapter Board, I think it would be a great recruiting tool but, have not had any luck getting one established.

Well I guess you have to know the secret hand shake.

Well for the KY folks I usually ride every Tuesday-Wednesfay to bike nights in Louisville, and in Lexington on Thursday night.

And try to ride on the weekends.  If you want to ride let me know.  I open for anything from distillery tours to sight seeing.

No sense in living in the same state and not riding together.

You guys could do like the Colorado group does and have an ongoing thread with rides and such. It seems to work pretty good for them and pretty simple  cooldude

my understanding is you need to get enough members in Kentucky and surrounding areas and have enough traffic ( topics, posts, wrench parties  and rides) that it will be worth the effort to give you your own spot on the board.

IOWs, do everything necessary to form and organize the group somewhere else and then bring it here.
Hmm, guess I missed something at recruiting school.

What exactly is the effort it takes to do that?   In a digital age a few clicks of a mouse should start a sub forum.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

OK, let's by honest, I watch and read most of the other boards.   I look at usage by whomever.   Some of the established boards don't have much use at all.   As has been mentioned in another thread, facebook and other venues get more use.    Take an honest look at the other state chapter boards, their post counts, the frequency of postings, who's posting, dates of postings.

There's more to it than having the numbers and events.
Won't be back to this thread, I'm pretty frustrated as it is.   I'll leave it at that.

I'm just south of ya. I ride all over Kentucky, either on my Valk or F6B. I don't often do bike nights. I've been  to maybe three this year and two of those were in Hardin Co. I went to one at Dixie HWY Texas Road House once this year. I'm really more into riding . Just hit me up . cooldude

I like both bike nights and riding... I feel bike nights give you more of a chance to get to know people.  I will hit you up here or on Facebook.
