I read the article you wrote and I have 2 suggestions

"Not even God himself could sink this ship.”

    — Employee of the White Star Line, at the launch of the Titanic, May 31, 1911

Mat 6:31  "So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?'
Mat 6:32  These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
Mat 6:33  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
Mat 6:34  "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

I have personally learned these couple of lessons.

Don't challenge God

Ask and you shall receive.

He has never failed me and gives me the peace and ideas in times of troubles. I would not be in business if God was not helping me everyday. While I do have some troubles I understand He is my active partner and look forward to each day seeing what He is going to do to make my business successful or supply my needs.  Its not easy, being in your own business and we all need real help and He has never let me down. Just trying to share an experience, not preaching. I understand you might not be a believer, and also may not understand that God is a real help not someone who is distant.

God was not an iceberg, and I'll give the benefit of the doubt that you did not mean to imply He wiped out 1500 souls on the Titanic to spite one man's arrogance.

Don't challenge God

Can't really help it. I was cursed or blessed with free will.

And which one? And before we go off on the "There can be only one" thing...remember that the fact that I don't believe in another man's god...doesn't mean that god (or his deluded servant if you prefer) isn't a threat if I just "don't believe".

I am surrounded by other men's gods demanding battle. The worst of them is currently $$. Some of them would have killed me long ago if I didn't challenge them.

It may help to note when or when I do not capitalize the term....though...when and if someone does, one must still wonder which one is their god and how I may be required to do battle it him/her/it today.

Thanks, interesting perspective, As for dying everyone dies, it was their time, as to why we can question.
