Today (9/27/15) we (ABATE of MI, region 14) held our 2nd annual Ride In Bike Show. It is a local event that brought out quite a few interesting Bikes. This event was only a dream that we were able to pull off in only a month.
We raised money and accepted donations for our annual Christmas charity in Milan, MI.

This guy looks like he came out of a David Mann painting.

A nice example of a great paint job on a "not so popular bike".

A nice "looker", but the rider had one hell of a time in the parking lot.

The owner of this bike made all of his own "custom parts".

                                  Back to the future,...er 1980.

                                    Really nice workmanship.

                           A lady's bike,....a really nice lady too.

                                 Yeah it's a Sportster.

                                              The "Obligatory Valkyrie"

This guy would't run a Car Tire if his life depended on it!

                                            "Skulls anyone?"

"It's like Deja Vu all over again"

Shiney Bob looks like a character out of a David Mann painting also.

I just love a local bike show, rather than one with Mega sponsorship with Glitz and Glamour.

George, next time announce your bike show a couple days in advance rather than after the fact.

We had all of 3 1/2 weeks to pull this off. Announcements sometimes get lost in the mad scramble to get permits and other legalities,....hell we did not have time to get in the ABATE newsletter.

But next year we will be holding a MEGA Motorcycle Blessing at "Cash 4 Motorcycles" in Milan, MI. Currently in the planning stage, and the date will probably be in late May of 2016.

We are currently working with "Cash 4 Motorcycles" on several upcoming events and the use of their facilities for our monthly meetings.

May is Blessing time around Michigan and bordering states. Might limit your attendance if too close to some of the older ones held like in Baldwin / Holland / Muskegon. Just like Inzane and Sturgis. Decisions - decisions....None of my business but just sayin. Good Luck!

....Hey Joe...maybe Im missing something here, but it seems to me that it would be pretty hard for George to announce the Show in advance....since he and his wife are STILL Banned off of the Michigan Board..  coolsmiley

I didn't ban anyone.  There it's a national board to post on, it gets read more than the MI board any way.

We will be having the Bike Blessing in Milan MI.
Milan is in S.E. MI, not to far from the Ohio border and quite a distance from Baldwin/Holland/Muskegon.
We've (ABATE 14) had quite a few Blessings in the Hell MI area over the past ten years, but we are now centering our public events in Milan rather than Hell.

What's the matter George?  You don't want to go to hell?

ABATE region 14 used to have the majority of it's active membership in Livingston county and in the Pinkney/Hell area.
Now the majority of active membership is in southern Washtenaw county, in and around Milan.

Hence, Milan versus Hell MI.
