Nice indeed, but you do know you will be putting the TV show Axe Men out of work with these engineering marvels?   Probably not though since on that TV show they still need chainsaws and humans for rigging/cutting down trees since the steep terrain prevents these John Deeres from being on the steep hillside.

These machines would be super great though on fairly level terrain you could basically take a 6-10 man operation down to 2 is my guess.

Reb, those machines are really cool. Almost makes me want to change career of excavating underground oil tanks to cutting down trees. Great work on the video.

dang, John Deere thinks of everything don't they?

I still think some of the Axe Men TV shows terrain is so steep and rugged even a John Deere would not be able to go up/down those hills, way too much brush/timber in the way.  I could be wrong.

Pretty darn neat eqmt. though making VERY, VERY short work out of most trees.

What is the maximum diameter of the tree that those machines will cut down?  Doubt it would cut down say a burr oak tree some 125 years old just way too heavy and large for even that type of eqmt. maybe?

You guys need any cold or hot environmental testing done?

Caterpillar is one of our customers....I'm surprised we haven't heard from you guys.

If you need to test in any environmental condition....from -65 to +160, I can give you contact info to get on the schedule.

This is Google testing some of their balloons.

That managed forests are excellent and much better than cutting virgin old growth?
