Thinking about investing in some heated gloves.  Would prefer battery powered rather than hardwired to the bike.  Any suggestions, comments or cautions?

I've used them and also battery powered socks while snow machining . Batteries die in no time. Maybe they have lithium ones now, but regular ones don't last very long.

they sucked   why screw with batteries every day or twice a day?

I have tourmaster synergy wired into my jacket liner for years now

Its the bomb     cooldude cooldude    Like gerbings but waterproof wore it under my mesh jacket in a toad strangler and no shocks but when its actually below or close to freezing for real I wear my killamanjaro jacket over the liner. snug as a bug in a rug

Have the separate dual controller as well

Electric is best. Spend the extra $$$.

If buying new check out the pricing at the local HD dealer.

If you have a problem on the road you can take them to any H-D dealer to get replaced/fixed.

I just purchased the 12 volt gerbing liner and lightweight gloves.  Liner was $180 an the gloves were $100.  I purchased them from mycoolingstore.com  They were shipped out the same day and I received them the next day.  Shipping for 2 sets was only $11

I have a pair of Gerbing G3's and a pair of T5's.

The T5's are hybrid gloves, i.e. they will work off of battery or direct plug.

I wear the G3's all of the time. I have only worn the T5's a handful of times.

This is partly because I find the bulk of the batteries to be a problem.

Mainly because, the G3's are without a doubt the most comfortable gloves that I have ever worn.

I'd recommend a pair of G3's to anyone.

I have a battery vest and it works nicely on a decending scale. It also likes batteries.
I have a First Gear jacket liner for self and wife.
Its a whole system from jacket, gloves, pant liner, shoe inserts.
Game changing purchase. Works on a hard wired rheostat.
Go all the way, you'll be happier.
