Wildman came to town to have tires put on his bike and he had placed the order prior to him leaving for my place in Topeka, Ks.  We have been waiting for the car tire to arrive and so we called and they were waiting for verification to see that the tire will fit the vehicle.  They will not let you buy a tire if you mention a motorcycle.  I have ordered from them in the past and they were like... "as long as you know we will not cover the warranty then we can process the transaction."  Now... after talking with the supervisor that the Tech department will not sell a tire to you if they can not verify it was the actual tire that came on the vehicle.

I get the liability but if I am willing to waive the warranty just sell me the damn tire.  Ok... well.. found one in town.  I guess I will find a new company to buy my tires for my vehicles.

I did do some research and you can say you have a 2004 Honda Accord EX Sedan and that might get you buy.

I use tire rack for all my tires, car and motorcycle alike. When ordering one for the bike I say I got a flat and am just replacing. The service guy I use knows what it's for but let's it go and sends it. Good luck. Hope to see you and the family soon.

Buy 2 and tell them you are putting them on the front of that Accord.  Worked for me, but I bought all 3 there were in Texas.  Smiley
When you find one you like, you have to stick with it.  They discontinued the one I liked.  That is why I bought all 3.

Thanks,

i was in the tire business from 1978 to 2005. In 1998 we were warned by our suppliers that if we sold a different size tire than what was OE then we were liable for whatever happened. I am happy that I am not in that business anymore.

Dang, I haven't had a problem at my local Discount Tire. They know it's for my bike. They make it clear that they won't mount it but they haven't cared before.
