Just came home from a trip and it seems like the starter on my bike is making a louder and higher pitch wine than I can remember since I bought it. It just turned 90K and has been trouble free until possibly now. Jusl looking for a point in the right direction or some info if anyone else has experienced the same issue. Thanks in advance, boy did we have a great summer in the NW,

How old is the battery?  If its low on cranking amps the starter eventually will spin like heck but not start

Thanks for the suggestion, it's worth 36.00/free shipping to follow up on your diagnosis. It has been a few years and gone dead more than once plus there have been periods of inactivity.  I hope your right..... I'll post an answer.

Pull the right side cover and check the starter relay.... I've seen several that fried including mine  Sad   You should pull it apart and clean everything hooked too and around it.

Make sure that you disconnect the battery first.
