Post office really irritated me.

My new rear brake line was supposed to be delivered yesterday, Friday. It's another Russell aftermarket SS item, $45 w/free shipping Priority mail, which means two days. It was shipped last Wednesday, rec'd. by the PO at just after noon and scanned out just after midnight on Thursday morning. Coming out of Indianapolis and it was just scanned into Orlando at 8:00pm today. Seems they must have sent it by way of Fargo, ND. I have the caliper repaired and mounted, done all the cleaning I have the ambition for(not much), still waiting. Times awasting with this fantastic weather upon us. I did get the front wheel brakes on the 1200 plumbed in finally, tried bleeding them and for some reason I don't have any resistance. I can see the pistons moving but the lever has no resistance. I guess tomorrow I'll pull the m/c down and see what's going on, I rebuilt both m/c on the handlebars, clutch works fine although a bit stiff.

Pardon the venting, guess I'm just PO'd because the Valk is sitting there only half dressed and the weather is great.   >:(

John, did you ever get your brake lines?
I still miss her.

John Schmidt

Yes, got them installed but the m/c isn't putting out even though it's been rebuilt.

PO office sucks, I had a priority 2 day shipment coming here a few weeks ago, according to the tracking info, it sat in the main Tampa Po for 5 days. Total shipping time for 2 day Priority was 7 days.
And they wonder why they are losing money.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

I finally got it, new rear brake line, a week to the day it was shipped. Mine also was 2 day priority but the shipping was free. Spent a couple hours installing it on the Valk, not quite done yet but will finish the job today. There's one line hold-down at the front of the swingarm on the side of it, you need baby sized fingers 14" long to get the bolt started. I'm not going to bother with a test ride first, just going to mount the bags and rails and be done with it. I just wanted it back together by Saturday.
