Has anyone ever heard of Laam Seats?

I found this guy on a Spyder forum, and I am wondering if anyone has heard of them before?  His prices are a lot cheaper than Russell (it is going to cost me about $1200 cdn from Russell), and his seats look really good.  He also gives a lifetime guarantee.

I used him on a seat for my Kawasaki Concours 14. It is very comfortable, heated and I used a basket weave pattern. He tells you when to ship your seat and turns it around promptly.

It looks and feels good. I do use the heat once in awhile so I'm glad I bought it.

The company I might try for my Valkyrie seat is KonTour. The fabric looks interesting because it is cooler and the padding they use intrigues me.

Spoke with a gentleman today at Ultimate seat's and had a chance to ask him what he thought about having the stock foam replaced he said in all the year's of doing seat's he has not heard anything good about that making the seat better for comfort. He did say that Des the owner of ultimate had a mold that they could put into production but they had not had enough interest in a seat for the new Valkyrie to justify the cost of production

I had him redo my stock ST1300 seat and it turned out great. He will ask about your size and he wanted a picture of you on your bike.

There were some issues with him this summer talked about on the ST1300 forums. It all seemed to boil down to him getting popular and overwhelmed with business. His comments are great at other than peak season.

I sent him an email yesterday to see about doing my seat this winter.  I want to know if he can make the seat a little wider, kinda like Russell does.

The wide part on my old 1500 with a RDL seat is like most pictures where the sides actually angle up to find and support the rider.  Other than looks being so so  (my O) (important with the classic looks of the1500 Valk) the Russell was true to its name Day Long. A wonderful seat. If they had a slip in passenger backrest integrated like the Corbin has, I would be all over it as I am not putting the grab rails back on.   B, keep us updated what ever way you choose to go please.

Laam has my seat now from my 2014 Valkyrie, it will be two weeks this coming Tuesday and I haven't even heard from him yet.  It was scheduled to go into production "week of October 13th".  Must be a crazy time of year for him!  I will post again after the process has been completed.

I sent him an email on the 21st about getting my seat done, and I have not heard from him yet.    Not liking the customer service.  My wife wants me to get the Russell seat even though it is a lot more.  I tend to agree with her just for the fact that they got back to me right away when I had questions.

I finally received my Laam seat a few weeks ago.  I had to send it back because there were two tears in the vinyl along the bottom edge.  Other than that it looks nice.  He did make a "pocket" in the seat for me and unfortunately I am only about 5' 8" tall and this creates a ridge to reach over. This really affected my reach to the ground. When he fixed the tears he did adjust this some and really didn't make much of a difference.  I did order a Corbin seat and it works much better for me.  If anyone is interested in the Laam seat, I would be willing to sell.  Make me a reasonable offer. The seat was $374.00 with shipping.

I am only 5'8" as well and have a Corbin seat.  I also lowered the bike 3/4" and that made a huge differences.  Easily flat footed and the bike steers even easier now.  Steering is so light. The bike is perfect for me now.
