Left with temps in low 40s and went up 25w to London KY and caught some other little road to catch 30 north/east to 11 north to get up thru Natural Bridge and on to Red River Gorge which was recommended by a friend. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL park and day to enjoy as it climbed to upper 60's to 70's.

Had a one lane tunnel to go thru that was dug by hand and dynamite. 1 life lost during project by a man that felt the need to thaw some frozen dynamite by the fire.

Scooted over as I approached as this cage was determined not to wait so thought I'd just let him go. park was pretty empty for such a pretty day.

Was glad to have a good day for a little ride before removing bags to let the painter do his thing next week.

Right in my own backyard - and can you believe after 20+ years in central Kentucky, I've never even been there?  It's sad, I know.  Dave, your beautiful pics may have pushed me over the edge.  What's the weather forecast for this weekend?  Terry  cooldude

Absolutely fantastic Dave, how fortunate.  Going to put this on my list of places to get to and but soon.

Have a question.  Went down to Rainsville, Al several times last spring.  I kept noticing a sizeable project going on just off the 75, in Willaimsburg.  Looked like a new ball diamond complex being built, and a rather beautiful one and expensive one at that, lots of brick.  Is this so.

University of the  Cumberlands owns the town and is burning through a bunch a money that got thrown there way. New buildings and I believe a rugby field, etc.

Great pic's, thanks!
We had to just miss Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge on our way back from Michigan this summer (time constraints). Plan on returning first chance we get.
I can highly recommend Hwy 66 jus' south of there down 11 outta Oneida, Ky. It runs south along the Red Bird River through the Daniel Boone National Forest all the way back to Pineville, Ky. (near Cumberland Gap). Great road for the art of motorcycling & I don't think we saw 3 cars the whole 60 miles cooldude
Thanks again for the reminder, only 165 miles from our house, sounds like a day ride!
