2nd bike I ever owned. I paid $300.00(borrowed from my Dad) for it in Sept. '80. Painted it GM red(buddy had some left over from painting his '72 Nova SS) and put a 2 in to 1 Kerker pipe on it. Man I loved that bike. It was just plain fun to ride!
To top it off, Pops forgave the remainder of my debt as a graduation present in the Spring of '81. Still owed him $100.00. It was at that point I thought hell had frozen over!

A 1K bike turning into 3K?  Shocked

Maybe our 6-7K Valks will turn into 18-21K in another 20 years as well?   Wink

I certainly hope so!!

But looking at these pictures on CL of this bike it does look close to showroom.

One of the things that keeps me on our Valkyries is once  you put a leg over one and get used to the feel then all other bikes seem small.

bought one in '70, rode it till '79 when a young lady broadside me on the  way home from work.  IT was totaled.  Got $600 for it from the insurance folks. it was $940 out the door when I bought.  Good bike, had some problems with rubbing the rubber off the foot pegs.   Lot younger and not as much brains as now.
