Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: October 30, 2015, 08:46:14 AM »

I came across The Cumberland Plateau yesterday ( working ) . The colors was awesome at full peak. Tomorrow we are hookin' up in my hometown of Clinton in The Great State Of Tennessee for a ride up to The Big South Fork along the Tennessee / Kentucky border. Anyone wanting to join us be at Hardee's in Clinton ( Green Bridge ) @ 10:00 in the morning ( Saturday ) .

The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area preserves the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River and its tributaries in northeastern Tennessee and southeastern Kentucky. In addition, the former mining community of Blue Heron is preserved and interpreted via signage.

The Big South Fork region contains one of the highest concentrations of natural bridges in the eastern United States and the area is located in parts of Scott, Fentress, Pickett, and Morgan counties in Tennessee, and McCreary County in Kentucky.

Dang, just got back from there...
Have a great ride, Joe  cooldude
Wish I could make it.
The trees here are at peak or beyond. GREAT Colors, still... Heavy rain last couple days made a lot of leaves fall to the ground. Not good for riding, at the moment.
Sposed to be in the 70s all next week - gots to get the rear tar replaced this weekend. The condition its in now (center is slick), I would be tossed in jail if I was in NC, fer sure.  police
Lookin' forward to a Great Ride Report  cooldude

I had a room with Wimp and called in yesterday to see if I was working this weekend. I was told we are working next weekend . It's possible I could get out of it however that's a holiday weekend and we work 4 - 10's so that means Friday is time and a half , Saturday is double time , Sunday time and a half and Monday holiday pay is double time and a half.... I can't pass that up for a ride just down the road from here.

Lookin forward to another great ride report

Like in Michigan the heavy rain took most of the red and orange leaves off of the trees so we are on the tail end of peak season

At least the roads are dry now

80 minutes of full on action.

In the average NFL game there is about 11 minutes of action out of 60 minutes.

In the average pro rugby game there is about 65 minutes of action out of 80 minutes and NO silly TV commercial breaks.
