  I was in the left turn lane waiting for the light to change.  Had it in gear and ready to go. I got the green arrow and the green light. I hesitated. The van next to me started to go just as a semi gravel hauler blew through the light and just missed the van. I guess the guardian angel was there.

  On another note , I just put the bike up on the lift for service in January. We have perfect riding weather for the rest of the week , But tomorrow morning I go in to have the left shoulder replaced.
I want a matching pair. I had the right one replaced this past January.

I think your angel paid me a visit last night. I was a couple blocks from my house when some kid driving his parent's Plymouth comes tearing out of an alley right at my right side. I honked and gave it some throttle and watched as he missed my rear by about 2 inches. By the time he reacted, he was already completely out in the road.
He was embarrassed and sorry, but he almost ruined my day. And that beautiful maroon colored Plymouth Fury.

that this bionic stuff is getting to be routine.

When I got home from my ride I had a missed call and a new voice mail from my brother. First thing he said on the voice mail-I hope to hell yer out riding!  I wuz!  Then he relayed to me what is his post. Also said something to the effect of-ah crap-dude gonna take me out on my LAST ride of the year.  When I reached him on his cell he already had his on the lift and pushed off to one side of his shop and he was making his list off stuff to did BEFORE next riding season.  As long as he has lived up there he told me he found some roads in Wisconsin  he hadn't been on before-ever.  RIDE SAFE.

I'm sorry to hear about the shoulder.  Causes me to wonder how much of us has to be replaced before we're mostly synthetic.  I guess it doesn't matter that much because most of us in this culture are largely fake anyway.  I hope the shoulder goes well for you.

I had a reason to use the air horn yesterday morning.  I guess the angles were busy.  A young man driving in the left lane decided to move into the right lane precisely where I was riding.  He did react to the horn and returned, not as quickly as I would have preferred, to the left lane.  After I was well in front of his position I expressed my displeasure and continued on my way.  He turned off, interestingly to the left, before he caught up to me so there was no next to one another at a light to give him an opportunity to express his apology.  I've had that apology moment before and as mean as it may seem I thought about it and decided in the future my response should be, "Don't tell me how sorry you are!  Tell me you'll start looking before you put that car somewhere!"  It would probably involve some inappropriate modifiers.

Glad you made it through.  Hope that same angel is attending your shoulder surgery.

My mom had her shoulder replaced due to damage from her "arthur."  She couldn't raise it as far as the other side so had one of those 3' long grabber dodads to reach stuff off the higher shelves. It was also used to pinch me in the butt when least expected. I'm still fighting the dr. over a hip problem, now looking for a different one that will listen. Won't replace it because "you don't have major arthritis damage in there" so I asked why I have constant pain and bursitis. He tells me I have little to no cartilage which keeps things inflamed. Told him that was the dumbest excuse I ever heard for not taking action.

And Carl, if the "angles were busy" I'll bet the angels were as well.

LOL, John.  I'm not a touch typist but I type with both hands.  One of the issues I have that has persisted is that I ften get two letters out of order when I type.  I haven't figured that one out.  Maybe it takes central control longer to communicate with the left hand than it does with the right.  That's not going to impact my gunplay skills.  Unfortunately spell checker won't tell me when I've typed angles instead of angels.

Not to worry my friend, I do the same thing. Quite often actually. My thought processes still outpace my typing speed(I used to teach typing years ago), I also use both hands and don't look at the keyboard. That being the case, I find it much safer to read through my writings a couple times before releasing them. Still don't catch everything.
