Unass the rack at 0800 and look out and-CRAP-fog cold wet and drippy!  Undecided So go do my shopping first. After a REALLY nice breakfast and shopping out of the way I'm headed north-in da cage-on U S 63 and the over cast and fog are starting to lift!  coolsmiley Get home unload the cage put groceries away gear up and head out. Mo. 137 North thru some beautiful rolling hills sweeping curves and-fall. 137 runs into Mo. 17 North and into Houston Mo. Out aways 17 crosses Mo. 38 West. Most but NOT all of the colors here bouts are past peak and a few trees here and there are showing some fantastic colors. 38 crosses Mo. 95 and I hang a left-South and on the North side of Mountain Grove Mo Is a Murphy gas station and their restrooms. Needed both-gas and the restroom.  Roll Eyes Left outa Murphy thru downtown Mountain Grove staying with 95 South. Couple miles out of town traffic backed up behind a School bus.  Embarrassed Bus turns off vehicles ahead of me turn off and now I'm behind a flatbed 18 wheeler hauling fresh cut green wood and-to me anyway-it smelled wonderful on this excellent fall day. BUT he was only running about 45 M P H and the first break I got I twisted the Phatt Ghurls tail and got around that aromatic load. Down 95 to the stop sign at Mo. 14 and hang another left-East-on 14 and now the curves be gittin better as are the up hill down hill I enjoy on this stretch. 14 crosses Mo. 181 South and I hang a right on 181. Couple miles below Dora Mo. 181 goes right and County  H. continues South with more twistys and rolling hills.  Smiley H eventually Ts into U S 160 and I hang a left-East-towards West Plains Mo. and another Murphy for fuel-AGAIN. SHOULD have put on my clear glasses after fueling as I fergited how FAST the sun sets now!  crazy2 Pulled into my Honda dealer and changed from my darkest shades to my clear ones and continued on to Lacasa. The sun was setting slightly behind my left shoulder and Mother Nature pulled out her beautiful color rainbow of colors for me. I had a bitch of a time trying to concentrate on guiding Phatt Ghurl cause the sunset was so frikkin SPECTACULAR.  cooldude Just about full on dark when I rolled her back into her cave after 165 miles of soul cleansing mind clearing shoulder knot loosening WIND!  cooldude RIDE SAFE. P S-this was a test ride after relay cleaning and electrical frustration-SHE passed.

Good "un Dennis.  Nice ride, i'll bet and a nice ride report.

I'm hoping to get the Miata out for the last time before it goes into storage.  Supposed to be a nice day today.

Sounds like fun, Dennis. Thanks for sharing. The colors, the sounds, and the smells(not all good when going by roadkill) make us very aware of the opportunities we have on a motorcycle(and in a Miata). Smiley

Got whiffs of wood smoke got whiffs of folks heating with propane some folks were burning leaves and there was a deceased deer that had an unpleasant odor-BUT all those things plus the sights and the sounds and the weather itself made up the very fabric of the ride. AND I would NOT have it any other way.  cooldude Wayne-Ross put his on the lift yesterday after his last ride of the year. They should be wheeling him into surgery just about now!. I'm thinkin your Miata MIGHT not be a good choice in winter conditions. To all ya'll-was a good ride yesterday and goin again today!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.
