It was listed as a "baby and childrens sale."  I was dumbfounded, after all this time I thought the stork brought them. Never knew you could go to Macys and get what you want. Wonder how much they're marked down!!   Grin

Actually, I'm quite happy with the four gals I ended up with, can't imagine life any different....especially with all the guys hanging around. People often ask "didn't you have any boys?" I always tell them I had more boys than I knew what to do with....and none were mine.   cooldude

Wonder if my wife got these on sale?!? Kinda doubt it, they're all more of a "high end" item.  Wink

I am pretty sure all wives and daughters are "high end". At least all that I have seem to be.

Oh brother, you just ain't kiddin'.  They can be messy, and if after working in the yard....phew! We always had a pretty nice yard, it was used as recompense for bad language or "physical" discussions, any unladylike activity which covered a multitude of sins. Every one of them at some time in their life at home spent time getting greasy working with me on various vehicles....you want to drive it, you help keep it up. It paid off big time for all of them at different points in their adult lives. But then there would be those times when they had a special date. A nervous young man would sit there waiting for his date to come out of the bedroom, all the while you'd think he was sitting on a bed of hot coals. Then suddenly his date would come into the room and you could hear him catch his breath....and so would I. Whichever one it was that evening I'd give them a hug, tell them they're beautiful, a kiss....and then they're gone.

It was a difficult assignment, bringing up four girls, but I wouldn't trade it for all the riches in the world. I know I'm a better person for the experience, I hope they are.  Smiley

Beautiful family you have there. My daughters are now 28 and 26, have successful careers, and have found good men to share their lives with (a huge relief I tell you, but sure was a bit tough at first becoming #2). Being such an avid motorcyclist, soccer player, and fisherman, I used to get asked that same question by all my buddies..." aren't you going to try for a boy"? My girls and I were joined at the hip sharing in all these activities and more until they graduated university and moved out on their own, and never was there a moment where I regretted not having a boy to share my passions. As I'm sure it is with most, they've also taught this old dog a few things, such as patience, respect for things other than my own personal interests, patience, forgiveness, and oh yeah, did I mention patience?  Wink
