Watch out for these guys . I was taking a ride the other day and on a slow curve to the left . I see a funeral procession coming toward me and I start looking for a place to pull over. There is a lady on the right in a cage turning left about 75 ft ahead of me  , my idea is to ride past her and pull over . That is when the motorcycle escort motions for her to pull out right in front of me . The crazy think is that she saw me and was waiting for me to pass her before pulling out , but when the escort waved her out she started to pull out . Thats when I put up my hand to motion for her to stop and she did. She would have waited for the procession to drive past and I think thats what she was going to do .I was just doing a short ride and going back to the house but I drove past the cemetery that was close to where this happened to see if he was parked at the entrance and I was going to give him hell but he wasn't .  Well anyway watch these guys a little closer i know I will.

Most but not all of the time on a P G R escort we have L E Os in the lead. Most but not all the vehicles in the escort are running 4 way flashers including the M/Cs. Don't care where you ride or the weather yer riding in or the circumstances people can and will git stupid. I M H O he should not have waved her on. BUT-that word again-I wasn't there. Been on escorts when people have passed on 2 lane roads have cut into the escort on multi lane highways have blown thru lighted intersections with a posted road guard have attempted turns thru the middle of the escort. I was blocking at I-15 on the lunch ride going from the venue to the lunch location. I was blocking the left turners while the club was getting on I-80 west. Had a guy in a suburban or an escalade that was beyond impatient. Blew past me and cut into the line of M/Cs and generally made an ass of himself. BUT no one was hurt. I've lived by a rule the guy that taught me to drive semi imparted to me-WHAT is the dumbest thing that driver could do to eff up yer day? I'm rarely disappointed-they try to eff up my day.  uglystupid2 Increased vigilance and good S A.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

i'm by no means cutting down all motorcycle escorts . I'm sure this one just didn't see me . You would think a motorcycle rider would have the radar on for other motorcycles but i guess not. I always give funeral processions respect and pull over .

I'm confused...were you on a four lane or two lane road?  Assume the funeral procession is in the oncoming lane or are they coming toward you from the behind?  The woman on the right was  in your lane, the lane adjacent to you on the right or in the oncoming lane or? If she was in your traffic flow lane, was she intending to make a left from the right lane?  Agree we have to have eyes in our ass and be alert, but I would never pass someone on the left if they are making a left turn.

It was a 2 lane road the funeral procession was coming toward me . The lady was 75 ft ahead of me on my right  on a side street and stopped and she was turning left . I assume the mc escort was trying to cut her a break so she would not have to wait for the procession to drive by. I don't know why he waved her out she looked like she was going to sit there .I was looking for a place to pull over and the best spot was just past her . I had the right of way. The escort clearly didn't see me and it was a long slow curve so he saw the lady first.
I was paying attention  and I don't even think I'll call it a close call . It just pissed me off .Usually it's the cages causing the problems not another motorcycle.

Sometimes we waste our time and energy getting pissed off over things that didn't really matter and on our own sense of what is owed us.  There are so many things in life truly worth the time and energy that I would try to develop a practice of saving being pissed off for what really does matter.

I'm glad you're okay and didn't have to screech brakes or take evasive action.  Good for you on paying attention.
