Hi guys, just got my wheels back from powder coating, they did a good job. When I bought the bike this fall, I notice the wheels were all stain and rough. I decided to have them the same colour as the bike. I would like to post a picture but I just can't figure out how to do it.

I use Photobucket. I have a folder named "Forum Posts", which I place pics into I wish to link to on a forum.

I go to the picture, and on the right hand side there is about 4 options, the one with IMG I copy and then past into my forum post. When it is looked at, it shows the picture.

By having the folder, I don't delete the pictures, and the posts keep the pictures for things like How-to.

Do like Gordon says. Use photobucket. I tried off and on for a couple years with other photo sharing thingys and could never work it. Got frustrated and gave up. Then a couple guys on here steered me right and it seems pretty easy now. Gordon I like the idea of a separate folder, I'm going to check it out.  cooldude

Indeed they do look good.  What is the price?  Something I am toying with although I have got mine to look pretty good through sandpaper progression and white diamond final.

Flash, those do look good!
I've been thinking about doing the same thing this winter. Just saw here in town a sign at local shop, now doing powder coating. Can you tell me what to expect $$ wise? Also the wheels as pictured. Were you able to have them done as shown? Discs still on front as well as rear? Just tire removal?

Hi Pais, you have to take everything off, disk, bearings, they have to be naked because they cook it at 400F. Make sure they know what there doing, you don't want paint where parts go. The place I go charge me $150.00 for the two wheels.

Totally awesome.  Any thoughts of pinstripes?  Bronxboy on the FL board did the same with Red pinstripes.   Very subtle but looked very good!  cooldude

Slick!
I was thinking about doing mine black or red. I like the black and the pinstripe idea is solid as well.
Thanks for sharing

I had 2 wheels done with 2 colors, $250 each wheel here in NY.  would have been $200 for 1 color.  The extra $50 was for the labor of taping up each wheel twice.

BTW:  I use facebook to upload pictures from.

Very nice, and the price is great. Like G-man, local was something like $250 per rim, one color.

You don't have your Location in your profile, so which city would that be found at?

I was going to paint mine black, then the holes match the red of my bike. Seen it done by someone else too.

The powder coater I use at work told me they would do both my wheels for 100 bucks. Think I'm going to go with a polished wheel and black irradiance coatimg to make it look like black chrome

That would look hot on that gray bike!

Something like this?

http://duplicolor.com/product/shadow-chrome-black-out-coating

I was going to do this to my rims to see how I liked the look, before spending the money on getting them powder coated.

I think it was like $20, and at the time, had to get the store to order it for me.
