In conversation after the debate. Letting in the Syrian refugees was a topic. I said "they should micro-chip any and all refugees". Put in a chip that will alert if tampered with. No chip, no help.
We do not need 6500 or is it 65000 more on welfare. Yes , some of them will be productive but will need help and medical care . Personally , I would vote to not help them in our country.
But my vote will not count against the politicians. I do not know what their gain will be.

Chris Christie has similar thoughts; I wouldn't be against it that's for sure.

What is the difference in debates, they won't come through anyway, they never backup their mouth unless it lines their pocket. Debates are a joke, its only about who can out talk who.  The sad part is citizens believe it. My thoughts are "Clean up your own backyard before you cleanup someone else's" Take care of our citizens first!!!!!!

While I agree that we do not need to add to our welfare rolls.  I'm not sure I agree with not helping those who are fleeing the middle east terror.   The one caveat I have is this.   I would welcome those fleeing terror but, they would have to pass an indepth back ground check before being allowed to roam free.    If, they passed that back ground check (knowing they are frequently flawed) and one was involved in or tied to some terroristic event in this country, I would order the following to happen.

For every American killed, I'd wipe from the face of the earth a village, city or town the terrorist came from or, one where his/her family was associated with.    One life for one community.    I would not propose to rebuild anything.

Speaking softly and carrying a big stick has merits.    IMHO, it's time to use the stick.

I suppose some will consider me to be cruel and inhuman.    I would also suppose those same folks have not lost any loved ones or friends to such terrorism.    I believe that most of these terrorists are willing to give their lives for their cause but, very few would be willing to sacrifice the lives of everyone they know or have ever known.    The number of attacks will drop significantly in a short time if, for no other reason than their won't be any communities left for those who don't mind dying for their cause.    It's almost impossible to stop someone who is intent on dying for their cause, but most aren't willing to sacrifice their families, friends and communities for their cause.

I totally agree on this.

That's one of the big reasons (among many) I didn't vote for the current guy in the WH, he had no past record and is proving that everyday he is there.  It's like "on the job training" for him and he's making terrible decisions at our expense!!

It's sad to know there are so many "low information, gruberite voters" out there that believe the "campaign promises". And are able to vote!!

I'm sure this move is more symbolic than substantive but still, it's SOMETHING I guess...

http://gov.texas.gov/news/press-release/21647

Quote
Governor Greg Abbott today sent a letter to President Barack Obama informing him that the State of Texas will not accept any refugees from Syria in the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in Paris. Furthermore, Governor Abbott implored President Obama to halt his plans to accept more Syrian refugees in the United States entirely, as the federal government does not have the background information necessary to effectively conduct proper security checks on Syrian nationals.

Rams , there is no real way to do a back ground check ,but I am with you 100%. Got to love Texas , shoot-em-if-you-got-em!  Did I say that> We already have 12,000,000 sucking our welfare system.
Let's clean up the whole thing. If you are on housing , a drug test (most employers require it) ,no smoking ,you get food stamps , no alcohol , same , you have a section of street to keep clean if you want to stay on welfare. If you go on welfare with one child , then that is all the help you get. We are not paying you to produce more recipiants.  You also have no right to a gun owners card. If you are caught in illegal activities , you and your family are dropped and moved out to the street.

If you do not like it , get a job and help support the other worthless slugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what Ben Carson Has to say about it:

Quote
Today, I am asking Congress to stop the Obama Administration’s plans to bring in up to 45,000 Syrian refugees. There is currently no ability to vet these people. By letting refugees into our country without vetting we are putting America at risk. If our President cannot see the risk, then we must rise to the challenge and protect our country. This morning President Obama announced at his press conference that it was our responsibility to accept these refugees. He is wrong. He took an oath to protect and defend this country. There is simply not a way to vet these refugees.
We should do everything in our power to help these men, women, and children who have been forced to flee their country, but until we can sort out the bad guys, we must not be foolish. I call for increased aid to the refugees. We can and should do more to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. We must also protect them from being attacked by implementing immediately no fly zone over these camps.
President Obama said this morning that it would be a mistake to send more ground troops. I think plenty of mistakes have already been made. As President, I would give the mission to the Pentagon, and ask them what they need to accomplish the mission. The right number of boots on the ground is whatever number the Pentagon says they need to accomplish that mission and not a single person less. The error of armchair quarterbacking our military will end in my administration. They will get the support they need and nothing less. Both the FBI and former Intelligence Committee Chairman, Mike Rogers, have indicated that it is not possible to fully vet these refugees as there is no Syrian list to vet against. Allowing these refugees to enter our country without knowing who they are is foolish. I am talking to many experts as I can, and I have yet to find one who thinks that the Obama Syrian/ISIL strategy is anything but a failure. The only thing that President Obama seems to have contained is this foolish policy inside his government.
We need to offer more than empty tough talk. We need to say what we mean, and most importantly mean what we say. When we draw a line in the sand or boundary in the air, the world needs to understand that we mean it. Too many people across the world today think that we don’t.     https://www.facebook.com/realbencarson/?fref=nf

I started on the immigrants and then included all of the wasted funds that this country forces on the worthless slugs.  I know there are  people who need the aid. I am referring to the leaches.

How does one make the nations of the world more nearly equal and the United States becomes just another province in a New World Order,?

The Insiders determined that a two-prong approach was needed; use American money and know-how to build up your competitors, while at the same time use every devious strategy you can devise to weaken and impoverish this country. The goal is not to bankrupt the United States. Rather, it is to reduce our productive might, and therefore our standard of living, to the meager subsistence level of the socialized nations of the world.

The plan is not to bring the standard of living in less developed countries up to our level, but to bring ours down to meet theirs coming up... It is your standard of living which must be sacrificed on the altar of the New World Order."
