ABATE, AMA, & MRF rep.

If anyone is considering going to Daytona Bike Week 2016 and is a camper, there is a new campground at Gamble Rodgers State Park. GRSP has had beach camping sites for years but they are hard to get due to the limited sites and reservation procedures. However they just completed a new campground on the west side of A1A and this should ease some of the problems of getting a good, clean and affordable site in that state park. GRSP is in Flagler Beach, north of Ormond/Daytona Beach.

I have gone to Bike Week for about thirty years now and finding a nice campground near the Atlantic Ocean has always been a challenge. Finding Gamble Rodgers State Park was the best place ever to truely enjoy Bike Week. Beautiful scenery, riding A1A, the LOOP, not as much traffic, and most everything close by. I used to camp at the ABATE campground at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, but ABATE is no longer doing this. I've camped north of Tittusville where I95 and A1A almost meet and in Orange City as well. But in my OPINION, nothing beats the Flagler Beach area.
