Well truth be told it wasn't a sport bike but having a bike tire on the back of the Valkyrie made for happier zooming around N GA.

Took off a Goodyear Assurance and put on a Shinko SE890 Journey.

Yeah I know Shinko - Stinko. Having used Shinkos on the ST1300 for over 100,000 miles I was happy with the purchase. Having run it for nearly 500 miles I'm happy with this choice as well.

With the Shinko on the back and an Avon on the front the bike felt rock solid up to illegal +++  Evil on 2 lane roads and spark generating in the twisties.

44psi in the Shinko and 42psi in the Avon.

I would think you would be more of a motorcycle tyre guy than a darksider after seeing how you rode your ST1300.  At least as long as I could see you vanishing in front of my eyes as you pulled away in the curves.

How's the house coming?  Any new pics of the new construction?

They start doing framing tomorrow.

Had to light a rocket up them.

Residential housing boom in the area where I live so everyone is busier than a one armed paper hanger.

I had a Hankook on the ST for about 9,000 miles. Put it on for a west coast trip.

After I took it off it took about 30 miles fro me to stop overcorrecting the steering input. Showed me how much I was unconsciously having to correct the steering when using a car tire.

Should have tried an Austone Taxi Tire.   I couldn't believe how well it worked but, to each their own I guess.   Enjoy and ride safe.

I too put on this spring near 2000 miles now on the shinko SE890 Journey rear tire and is not bad for the price of 125 paid.  If I get 9-10K miles out of it will be about the same as the Avon Cobra it replaced.

Since I went to the house Friday some framing has started.

Doors in the wrong place! It's why we go to check it out. Now construction has started I will have to go check it out every day.
