...and I hope he get's to go out with the Championship.

I know that's probably not the feelings of most "Old School" NASCAR fans, but I've never been known to worry about that.

He's smart, well spoken, a gentleman, one hell of a damn racer and Dale Senior saw the potential long before anyone else did.   He and Dale were partners in a Real Estate company.

I was at Daga when he won the race there in Oct 2007, some of the upset fans were seen throwing trash on the track after the race.

I agree totally. He's been a great driver and instrumental with Mr. Hendrick in changing nascar from a regional to a national entity. Actually when you look at the pre eminent drivers today, most are not from the south. Don't get me wrong, I love Dale Jr. And his old man was one of my hero's. There were tears shed in the Henry household that day at Daytona.

When Jeff came on the scene, ticket sales went up 30%. Mostly women as I recall. By the time he was 18, he won a championship in midgets, sprint cars and silver crown.

I've liked him since his rookie year and Sr. was trying to bump him out of the way.

Jeff has been my driver since i started following NASCAR. I hope he can take it, but any of the four Championship contenders have good stories.

Gordon is a damn good driver.   He's proven that race after race.   Give him a competitive car and he'll do well.   I say that and I'm not even a NASCAR fan.   I get bored watching circle track racing.   But, that seems to be where the money is at in American racing.

Winner of the race and 2015 Sprint Cup Champion - Kyle Busch.  Hell of a year for him - crashing in the Xfinity Daytona race and missing the first 11 races, then coming back and qualifying for the Cup chase by winning 4 races and working his way into the top 30 in points.

Even though Gordon did not win the Cup-neither did Harvick-and THAT'S a good thing!  cooldude I KNEW the first time I saw Kyle Busch race that he had a Cup(s) in his future. And so does Joey Lagano. RIDE SAFE.

Kyle Bush is a GREAT driver. But I will have to admit I have disliked him from the start.  Smiley Oh well Gordon always my favorite now I'm rudderless in a sea of drivers.  2funny

exactly!

But, I've got to admit, he's toned down the asshat routine since m&m and Gibbs realed him in after his truck crash.

I don't believe he changed or any thing like that, just decided to keep his temper out of public eye.

If Gordon goes to Fox, I'll be looking forward to his input.

Not a huge Nascar fan but a fan.  Been to a few races over time, MI, Bristol, Charlotte.  Said to see Gordon go, always been a class guy unlike Kyle Busch, however maybe maturity is creeping up on him.  Always new he would win a cup and surprised it has not happened until yesterday.  Is not Tony Stewart also retiring? Could have sworn I heard this a couple months ago.  Tony owns a track in my county, Eldora Raceway, and  two of my friends work their on weekends during race season and like him.
It was successful when the original owners sold it to him and he has made it even better and brings in Nascar stars there every summer to bang around.

Everybody has their favorites and dislikes....I liked the sport better when it wasn't so commercial. AS for drivers, its all opinion:  Gordon is good, one of hte best the sport has seen.  Kyle Bush is a whiner and Joey Lagoooono is a punk.   Evil
