I'am putting ins on my new ride and was wondering what is the my best buy here for insurance also I've been told that no fault should be considered as many here run around with no ins, what's your take on this, Thanks, Jym..

Welcome Jym777, I would use your current auto ins company as they will probably give you a multi vehicle discount, I use Geico and pay $150 a year for each Valkyrie, I am cheap when it comes to that stuff so I probably have minimum coverage. Good luck with your search. :cooldude:

The Gecko was the cheapest we found for our F6B's.
I have had State Farm for 40 years & they couldn't touch the $$ for the bikes.

I just recently changed from a CT policy to a FL. Found FL insurance about three times more than Connecticut. This was Geico, Dairyland, and Allstate. While dissecting the policies to find why, it turned out that it was due to Uninsured Motorist coverage, and "stacked" at that. Removed the stacked and it went down several hundred for full coverage 100/300 on 2 bikes. Still about double of Connecticut.  >:( >:(

I am on Medicare with a very good supplemental. Between the two, I have very good medical coverage, which is what "Uninsued motorist" would also be for. So...I signed a waiver and cancelled UNinsured motorist, and now cost is the same as it was in CT. In my case, the Uninsured motorist was really a duplication. They would have gone to my own health policy first anyways. My passenger is covered through my policy by law in FL, so in my case it works. YRMV. CHECK WITH YOUR HEALTH INSURER TO BE SURE THEY WILL COVER YOUR MEDICAL COSTS IF DUE TO A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT.

The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

The insurance is probably more due to the riding season in Florida being an all year round event. I have Allstate with collision, but no glass, lol, and I pay 100.00
