Did my chores for Bonnie early and since she has my daughter and her boyfriend here to help I went for a ride up to Bear Mountain

Took a few pics by the Croton bridge then a few at the scenic (6 & 7) overlook just south of the bridge and a few under the east bridge approach

50s partly sunny, just 4 other bikes (no spyders Robin   :crazy2:  )
and no police impeding my swift completion of my mission

On the way down the goat trail I pulled up to the Camp Smith gate and cut the engine and when the two GI's came out I thanked them for their service that I appreciated that they were not with their families today and that their country loves them.  I also asked if Bertha was still being restored and was assured that Bertha, the Sherman tank was at West Point getting fixed up and thanked for taking the time to say hello

Thank a vet or a soldier or even an LEO you see today. They are there for us

Pictures uploaded to photobucket   this should be a link to every pic I have taken this month  The 1st 10 or so are today

What's the deal with the rock ?

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

KY,Dave (AKA Misunderstood)

Thanks for sharing  :cooldude: Got a short run in today as well.

Joe I have no idea why the rock is there unless its part of the rock that anchored the chain across the river

Its like they built the overlook around it

There is NO graffiti  at the overlook unlike many other scenic places in the north and south

Glad you got in some wind time today!

I managed a 150 miles myself, not much but it's been awhile so it felt good.

I'm shocked, Evan.  You New Yorkers are much more progressive than I thought.  You left Bonnie with her boyfriend and your daughter while you went riding about the countryside?

;)

Catching up on my week away, Oss.

You be careful with those things, Evan.  You could poke an eye out!   :o
