My sincere condolences to you, Bev, and the rest of the family.
RJ was one of those unforgetable personalities that made a positive impression on all who liked him. We've all got tremendous stories about RJ from InZane, the CBR, and other events that he was attending. Russ was always willing to lend a hand for me at the CBR. He enriched all of us with his presence, we used to call him the "Sage of the VRCC". Russ always seemed to have that mischievous grin and twinkle in his eye that let you know he was up to something funny.
At one of the InZane's in Ohio, I tried to race him in the Trike on my Valk while on the highway. NOW I know why he walked away from me!
He treated my daughters like they were his own, always sending them birthday and holiday greetings. And he always had a great story to tell. (The one pic that Lady Draco posted of RJ in the Trike shows my daughters and their friend at a CBR. Because my one daughter skipped school, she became known as the "Truant Triker".)
I'm sure going to miss him.
Rest in Peace, Russ. Heaven's a better place now that you are there.
