Looks like a MUCH more painful version of the "SlipNSlide" from our youth.

"ALMOST"?

A responsible rider would not have put the "girlfriend" into such a position with too much speed.

As I'm always told and have told others, ride within your capability, not mine.

Perhaps.... but maybe she was just helping him slow down.

One way to ensure you will always ride solo.

Not so sure I would have pulled on the helmet though at the end of the clip, might have an injured neck?

At least they wore full gear and probably not hurt too badly because of it unlike what I saw last summer a guy on a crotch rocket, both having helmets on, but the young at most 20 year old female on back wearing flip flops, 1/2 a t-shirt and literally a THONG on back would have hurt.  Wife got pissy with me though driving right next to them admiring the view for so long.   2funny

Try hydroplaning an 18 wheeler-THAT WILL make ya kaka yer Dr. Dentons!  Lips Sealed Enough water on the surface and enough speed I'm thinkin if its a wheel and tire you might could hydroplane it.  crazy2 RIDE SAFE.

Yup a number of years ago, younger and not as smart I was in my Corvette doing 150 on cruise control and ran into a shower on the interstate.  Things got a little exciting until I managed to slowly back off to a more reasonable speed. Prolly would of been better if I had not of been trying to get a few more miles out of my semi slick rear tires.   Those were fun days, I was flying Air Rescue, and all the cops were friends.  I was bulletproof as far as tickets went.  Wish it were still like that.

I once had a clean your drawers moment going to college on my old 1978 RWD buick skylark in a heavy snowstorm.  I hit a snowplow mound of snow at least 3 foot high doing 40-45 mph head on in the middle of the road left by the snowplow ahead of me.  All I saw was a POOOF of snow covering my windshield and was in three total 360 degree circles coming to a rest thankfully in the middle of the road still, no control whatsoever.  The rest of the way home I had hardly any brakes but luckily back then steel bumpers and sheet metal existed on vehicles, no damage done, unlike today would have done 1,000's of damage.

Never hydroplaned in heavy rain to any horrible degree and don't want to find out either.

I went down just like that in misty rain back in '99. Back end of my Goldwing just went out on a moderate uphill curve at very reasonable speed for the conditions. In my case there was too little water on the road to hydroplane......it was just the oil coming up on California roads with the first rain after a long dry season. Had almost as good a slip and slide on the pavement as in the video. Skinned knuckles on one hand where my glove pulled off was my only injury. Bike totaled. I suspect this dude had a worn rear tire....... Not too easy to hydroplane on a bike with good tread depth IMHO, certainly not as easy as a car.

Not a great idea to start yanking on her helmet and yanking her to her feet until you're sure there's no bones sticking out (though I'd be looking to get off that narrow freeway as quickly as possible).

A clear testament to ATGATT.

only a minute and a half of video.  There looks to be a car pulled over at the end of the bridge (or whatever it is they are on )  Doesn't look like there is much room for a car to safely pull up on the side of the road with  them  and the traffic is moving pretty fast in rainy conditions.

In the short video right at the end  it looks like her right wrist has zero skin left on it. That will leave a mark.
Smart thinking on his part to grab and stabilize her in that slide though.
