A few days ago she was talking to her sister in Ohio, who was complaining about some noises they were hearing from the front of the car. After describing it, Rita casually asked if it's making a clicking sound, especially when turning a corner. Yes, it was. Rita said it sounded like the CV joints in the front wheel drive are going bad. Today her sister called and told her that's exactly what it was and how the heck did you know that. Rita told her "when you're married to a gearhead for 25 years it opens up a whole new world."  So I said "yeah honey....so how come you always hold your nose when walking through the garage?"  She told me "cuz that old turd you're polishing always stinks when you start it."

Gee....sorry I asked!
