I'm looking forward to making this one on two wheels. Last year I was forced to four wheels due to a bad battery. One way or another, I will be there.

I rode them all in my price range (Kawasaki Concours, Honda ST1300 & Yamaha FJR) They all have distinctive good points. My favorite based on looks is the FJR. Comfort, ergonomics and wind protection was severely lacking. More "SPORT" than tourer.
 Next I thought I was purchasing an extremely customized blacked out Connie until I rode it. (cash in hand) and regrettably walked away. I love everything engineering wise about this bike. Large fuel range, 6 speed transmission,  HP, looks, price. This was horrible for me ergonomically. I brought it back after just one block with my hips locked up. I just plain couldn't ride it.
 Now the Honda ST1300. This was the last in the looks dept. and honestly my last choice for me until I rode it and was impressed with absolutely everything about this bike. Wind protection is outstanding, brakes are outstanding, 7.7 gallon fuel tank and MPG are outstanding, electric windshield, adjustable seat height coupled with the Honda peg lowering made it rideable for me. I just put new rubber for it and no more jacking, centerstand does everything. Heli Risers with 2" rise and 2.5" back. Now it's the perfect bike for me. No more polishing, not one piece of chrome on it. More riding and less chrome polish. Smooth, fast, powerfull, handling, quiet and comfortable with the top box. I have two friends with SportTourers and plan on doing more distance riding and overnighters to explore Georgia and Alabama. Plus the reliability of Honda MOTOR Company. There is nothing I don't like about this bike. It's no head turner like the Valkyrie, but it will eat the miles comfortably.

That's Cool, Only U would know what works best for U  I never rode the ST so I cannot compare it to the FJR I had. They seem similar, but unless U get in the saddle U just don't know. Happy U found your new Steed...Now let's Ride !!
