So, I did read it and it is true. As the the video implied, one wife then 2 other dependents. Or, the other women can apply and receive on their own. Great country we live in.

Well I live in Michigan and I can verify that I have Muslim neighbors that have no employment, multiple wives, and at least two children per each wife.
Most have nice (Lexus, Rover, Mercedes, etc) cars, smart phones, big screen TV's and live in middle/upper class subdivisions.

My wife and I (until my surgery) have both worked hard, saved, had only one child and yet we can never hope to compete our immigrant neighbors.

George, I applaud your values and your upbringing. They are the values that made this once great country what it used to be. The leader of the world.
When we as a nation decided to put laws in place to help the less fortunate, without safeguarding our own values and cultural traditions we took a turn for the worse, in my opinion.
We opened the door to cultures that have values directly opposed to ours. It seems, in our haste to be the good guy in everything we do, we forgot that many people out there don't think like us, don't believe in the things we believe in, and really don't care about what we think or feel about things.
I know that some out there will think these comments are just unenlightened. I wish that was the case. I fear it isn't.

4 wives would be fine, but 5-7 better, one for each night of the week.    You have to remember most of them treat their wives like dogs (or worse) and do not let them speak or be independent people.

Irks me since even last night at work the office ladies were bitching we should all just quit our jobs and be like the dozens (even 100's) of unemployed dead beats our company hires each year for 4-6 weeks xmas rush who cannot find a job elsewhere, does not speak English, and smell horrible.   Where our HR dept. finds these 3 bus loads full is beyond me.  I cannot even go to the bathroom since YOU DO NOT want to know what they do smearing poo on the walls - totally disgusting.  And yet they let them touch packages of food product shipping it out to customers. 

Also pisses me off big time when the lady in front of me at grocery store (usually foreign decent) has 2-5 kids on her hip/shopping cart and hands the checkout lady several dozens of basically FREE food vouchers (whatever they are who the F knows) and I look at what she is buying (steaks/rich people food, etc.)  and then when she has NOT enough free food stamps (etc. whatever)  to pay and owes even like 10-15 bucks more in CASH, she says in a foreign language basically she has NO money and has to put back 1-2 items to make ALL HER FOOD TOTALLY FREE amounting to several 100's of dollars.   

I feel like telling her to get a job YOU BUM and eat like a normal, average working person or get the F out of this country and crawl back under that rock/sanddune you were at previously.  I can see people down on their luck needing food stamps/coupons/whatever for awhile, but to live HIGH OFF THE HOG FOREVER is B.S. 

One lady at work also has a daughter in her early 20's who has like 6 young kids from 4-5 different Mexican guys and she lives better than the rest of us since she gets all kinds of govt. support to take care of her kids.  Hey,  lets keep getting pregnant and richer off our govt. funding.

Even Golden Dragon only settled on Wilcox after a site in a neighboring county proved too small.

Big surprise there: history has proven that business feels no moral obligations towards its local communities, it's all about the profit.  So when workers want to work to earn an honest wage, but can't...???

Meaning that the country, Welfare and the way those two interact IS the topic.  Just because you wanted the topic to be religious-based doesn't mean that the rest of us went "off topic".  If a different topic was desired then it should have been more specific...but that would have raised flags, now wouldn't it?

The original post was refuted using proof from Snopes.

Nothing codified in the law says that "Muslim men are allowed to have as many as 4 wives" and sign them all up "for welfare and other free government programs." Although a Muslim man (or any other man) might live in a polygamous relationship after taking up residency in Michigan, he may only legally claim one wife as his own — he cannot simply list additional (not legally recognized) wives as members of an "extended household" and claim public assistance benefits for them on that basis. Those other "wives" would have to qualify for immigration/residency status (if they were immigrants to the U.S.) and apply for public assistance benefits on their own (as single mothers or heads of households), independent of their status as "unofficial" wives or household members of someone already residing in Michigan.

A person can't have adults as dependents, as per tax laws.  If the person does indeed have 4 wives then only 1 can come along as the "wife"; the other 3 must apply and fend for themselves as independent adults.

So you post up something that you admit you don't know if it's true. But you don't want to take the time to see if it is actually true . When somebody responds with the facts that it is not true, YOU SAY OK I READ IT AND IT IS TRUE. Very rich indeed.
