YUP, that's right a ride report from the upper mid west.
I've been having computer troubles and been in the house getting cabin fever.
The temps were around 30 but the water was not frozen in the bird feeder.  The snow had melted and we had a lot of rain to wash the salt off the roads.
I put new bags on the bike so I'm still a bit unorganized so I couldn't find my hood, going anyway.
The Valkyrie started like it was 75 degrees.  It felt good pulling out of the driveway.
After three weeks it felt a bit awkward for the first couple of turns.  I passed the Kohler Co. strikers and leaned into a round about.  I went through a series of curves before coming to a state highway. Traffic was heavy so I had to really hit the gas to merge with traffic. (any excuse to take off fast).
I went through another round about and headed down a road with sweeping curves. A couple of miles later I saw something in my mirror hit the road behind me.  DRAT !!   the lid on one of the side bags was open.
I made a u-turn and tried to retrieve the sweat shirt that blew out. Lucky for me the drivers in both direction stopped to let me pick it up. Trouble was, that shirt was under the bag with my rain suit.  That bag is the bright green so I should have been able to spot it. Someone else must have seen it and picked it up.
Oh well, getting dark anyway, time to go home.
Sorry for the long story of a short ride (30 miles) but I'm sure glad I got that ride  in. Smiley

Glad to hear you got the Big Gal out again. Here, in New York's Adirondacks, we had a few dustings of snow in the past 10 days. BUT, yesterday and this morning, we had some steady rains which seemed to wash away the light salt coating. Sooooo....if all goes well tomorrow, MY grand old gal may be thundering through the mountains, on another lengthy coffee run. I hope this trend continues.                   Happy Holidays...........Mike in New York

How's it go..............
A "good" ride is any one you can walk away from,
& a "great" ride, you can use the bike again tomorrow!
Thanks for the ride report, glad you had a great ride cooldude

I saw that the brine solution was spread on bridges and ramps today.
Someone must know something that I don't.  Snow and salt are both four letter words. tickedoff
